The CTO will be responsible for mentoring software engineers within their technical guild to develop their coding, adopt best practices, performance, documentation, and problem solving abilities in addition to contributing to our code base. He will also be responsible for their direct reports training, providing necessary software and hardware tools, yearly reviews, conducting one-on- ones, career development, and coaching. Preferred industry: IT - Technology Start-ups/Ecommerce companies Preferred domain: Marketing Technologies, Healthcare Tech KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/DESIRABLES : - Spearhead Product and Engineering divisions - Provide leadership to Product and Engineering heads in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission and values. - Responsible for end-to-end ownership which includes strategy, administration, technology guru for teams, product management, mentoring teams, strong domain understanding and managing daily operations. - Providing technical direction & guidance to the Product and Engineering Team. Helping them in building the team, setting up the KRA- s, policies & processes. - Work along with the founders to support business growth - Establish the company's technical vision and leads all aspects of the company's technological development. - Directs the company's strategic direction, development and future growth. - Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness. - Conducts research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation. ABILITIES : - Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management - Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization - Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software/product development and experience/understanding of marketing technologies - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job - Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff. - Ability to think and act strategically and proactively. - Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur. - Strong ownership and self-motivating skills. - Strong stakeholders and executive management skills. - Strong writing and presentation skills.
