Chief Technology Officer JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for managing the IT in line with company policy and guidelines, to ensure that the IT vision is achieved. The CTO works with Executive Management to grow the company by using technological resources. Using an active and practical approach, the CTO will direct all employees in IT departments to attain the company's strategic goals established in the company's strategic plan. In addition, this role has the major responsibility of guiding the company to achieve a competitive edge through an exploitation of IT capabilities through: - IT Strategy and Planning - Systems Development, Implementation and Support - Technology and Infrastructure Services. ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Specific Responsibilities Strategist: - Determine strategic direction and vision for IT and guide all staff in the achievement of this vision - Continuously and proactively seek ways for IT to deliver value and help achieve business goals Project Management: - Direct the overall information technology processing activities of the organization - Oversee the effective management of major projects supporting the IT vision - Ensure procurement policies adhere to company policies and guidelines - Ensure processes are in place to facilitate cost-effective supplier services and IT service delivery Quality Assurance: - Ensure adequate policies are in place to support the IT environment - Ensure delivery of operational services in accordance with service level agreements established with the business People Management: - Provide IT management direction and leadership - Monitor and maintain morale - Ensure that IT staff recruited are of high quality, that they are adequately trained, and that a plan of orderly succession is established and followed Change Management: - Initiate, drive and sustain Change management in the organization KEY RESULT AREAS AND INDICATORS - Success in the provision of cost-effective IT services, while achieving business objectives, measured by benchmark assessment against comparative organizations - Success in delivering all IT projects according to specification, schedule, and budget - Success in delivering and managing the IT budget - Manage the team effectively - Supervise IT budget and plans - Supervise IT assets - Supervise, user and technical services - Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness. - Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission, and values. - Conducts research and case studies on leading-edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE A. Educational Qualifications & Certification: Graduation in IT Post Graduation (Preferred) B. Senior level management experience, with a good understanding of computing disciplines C. Working Knowledge of ERP Microsoft AX is Preferred D. Total Years of Experience: 12 to 15 years. E.
