Chief Technology Officer - FinTech Capital Market Investment (20-30 yrs)

We have an open position for Chief Technology Officer, position with our client an FinTech Capital Market Investment company.

Job description

Position Overview :

- As CTO, you would be responsible to oversee building of the technology platform and solutions for all aspects of development - frontend web apps, mobile apps, micro services based backend scalable systems, horizontally scalable data pipelines, streaming analytics and a powerful underlying modular platform.

- Lead all development teams through a rigorous "Trustt Design & Development Process" in an agile development methodology and cloud deployment towards high availability and superior differentiated product experience.

- We prefer hands-on techies who have risen through the ranks, but with good management skills to create, maintain and foster a high energy tech workforce which thrives on a high energy innovation and development environment.

Strategic Goals and Responsibilities :

- Provide leadership, management, and technical vision to the entire engineering team of the company

- Adopt, train and evangelize the "Trustt Design & Development Process" (TDDP) throughout the tech organization to deliver high quality and maintainable systems on time

- Work closely with product managers and tech leads to ensure they are unblocked for technology or management challenges

- Ensure development of projects are appropriately resourced and facilitate internal processes and collaboration towards efficient development cycles and stable production releases

- Make technical & architectural decisions in conjunction with architects and senior developers that maximize on the scalability, maintainability and throughput of our banking & payment solutions

- Lead company-wide prioritisation and improvements to code quality, systems, and engineering processes - in a measurable manner.

- Develop and implement engineering strategies meant for the development of technological tools and processes required for efficient software development

- Participate and Review the TDDP design documents of various products and solutions to ensure high quality design and compliance with the rigorous development process.

- Mentor the technology teams, facilitating continuous training and improvements of skills that improves capability and quality of tech resources

- Interact closely with internal and external business stakeholders to deliver on high level business needs

- Support business teams with pre-sales technology client interactions and demonstrations.

- Stimulate hiring, career plans, training as well as performance reviews for engineering teams, including employee coaching, mentoring, development, and team building

What does it take?

- At least 15 years of work experience & a minimum of 3-4 years of work experience as a CTO or VP Technology/Engineering

- Banking or CBS development background highly desirable

- Proven record leading an engineering development team and running several software development projects

- Experience rapidly scaling an engineering team at a start-up is a plus

- Solid understanding of software engineering and architecture, with ability to review full-stack web application code using modern frameworks and quickly learn unfamiliar technologies

- Proven experience in building and deploying solutions on a large scale

- Proven ability to attract and hire the best engineering talent

- A continuous learner, up-to-date on emerging technology trends in order to make suitable architectural choices company wide

- Expertise in open source technologies, agile development and big data technologies

- Experience with deploying & running products in a large-scale distributed architecture

- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation. Excellent at clear and concise written and verbal communication

- Knowledge of fintech market players & lending ecosystem
