Background

We are looking for a Chief Technology Leader with a track record of having grown web/SaaS products by a 10x scale in terms of customers and transactions. The person will serve as a key member of our client's executive leadership Team as a trusted strategist and technology advisor. He/She will have direct leadership over engineering department. This is a highly influential and impactful role where collaboration is essential to success. Working with peers in Product and customer facing teams, the Leader will partner to define and implement the product and technology strategies across suite of products.

With a talented team of engineers and leaders already in place, we are seeking an exceptional person focused executive with broad technical knowledge in the web/ecommerce stack to lead the company through our next stage of growth. Equally as important is experience inspiring and developing employees; creating a great work environment where the best come to work and stay. We are excited to bring on-board a dynamic Leader to help lead the company through the next chapter and stage of growth.

Location: Mumbai or Bengaluru

Roles & Responsiblities :

- Collaborate with the Founding team to build a comprehensive vision and product roadmap.

- Build out the architecture, team, technology stack and platform.

- Set the tone, best practices, and overall strategy for technical operations - from coding, project management, documentation, architecture, and scaling - and rigidly adhere to their implementation, adjusting as needed.

- Own & report on technology related metrics, always looking for a way to improve our users- experiences.

- Identify and incorporate growing trends and best practices in technology, evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms.

- Lead strategic planning to achieve goals within timelines by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timeframes for development and deployment.

- Recruit, hire and lead a high quality technology team, with close collaboration and communication with other stakeholders.

- Recommend and adopt technologies that support company organizational needs internally

- Maintain a governance process that meets company and client expectations for information privacy.

- Able to communicate the company's technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders.

- Develop and manage a multi-year technology roadmap, ensuring the deployment of architectural solutions that are secure, scalable, comprehensive and maintainable.

- Assist the Founding team with strategy, Product & Operations Leads with feature/ new product road mapping.

The Individual :

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Must have been involved with startups and be a hands-on entrepreneurial product engineering professional, who has worked at least one high profile startup.

- Experience in leading the full cycle of web and mobile product/application development processes, from design to implementation

- A natural leader.

- Thrives the intensity, chaos and passion of start-ups young team, and wants to work with a fun-loving team who truly enjoy working together to realize a shared dream.

- Team player who takes ownership of work, is detail and deadline oriented, with a strong work ethic

Qualifications

- 14-18 years of progressively responsible software engineering management experience with an understanding of B2B/enterprise SaaS.

- Experience building a very scalable, high performing SaaS platform who will bring tested methodologies and tools of iterative, asynchronous development. Working knowledge of Agile is hence preferred

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

- Team player who can play a leadership role on cross-functional teams

- Ability to build strong relationships and mediate between conflicting stakeholder interests

- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
