Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (10-15 yrs)
As a Chief Technology & Innovation officer, you will be pivotal in harnessing cutting-edge technologies to drive impact, scale outreach efforts, and enhance efficiency.
You will lead initiatives to revolutionize our capacity-building programs, progress monitoring, and outreach via multiple technology platforms. Your expertise will play a significant role in collaborating with vendors, managing post-development activities, and driving innovation to achieve our mission of reaching a larger audience and making a lasting social impact.
This role will spearhead our clients (non-profit's) tech-driven transformation, leveraging innovative solutions to maximize our outreach, impact, and operational efficiency. Your strategic vision and leadership will help our client reach larger audiences, build capacity, and drive positive change in our community.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Technology Strategy and Innovation:
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology strategy aligned with our non-profit's goals, leveraging emerging technologies to amplify our reach and impact.
- Identify and evaluate innovative solutions to enhance education delivery, capacity building, progress tracking, and outreach.
2. Vendor Management and Collaboration:
- Engage with technology vendors, establishing partnerships and fostering collaborative relationships to create impactful solutions.
- Lead the vendor selection process, negotiate contracts, and ensure effective project execution.
3. Technology Implementation and Post-Development:
- Oversee the end-to-end implementation of technology initiatives, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Manage post-development activities, including testing, user training, and ongoing support to ensure smooth operations.
4. Education Transformation:
- Lead efforts to integrate technology into all our programs, designing innovative approaches that enhance learning experiences for a larger audience.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop engaging digital content and interactive platforms.
5. Capacity Building Enhancement:
- Utilize technology like learning management systems to strengthen our capacity building initiatives, providing accessible and scalable resources for skill development and training.
6. Progress Monitoring and Analytics:
- Develop data-driven tools and systems to monitor and evaluate the progress of our initiatives, ensuring transparency and evidence-based decision-making.
7. Multichannel Outreach:
- Strategize and implement outreach campaigns across diverse tech platforms like WhatsApp, social media, and other relevant channels to engage and connect with a wider audience.
8. Efficiency and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency through technology, optimizing workflows and resource utilization.
9. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a cross-functional team of technologists, educators, and project managers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Note: The roles and responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive. Role holder will be guided to perform different tasks as necessitated by changing role within the organization and the overall objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Proven track record (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, especially in non-profit or social impact contexts.
- Experience working with vendors, managing technology projects, and ensuring successful post development implementation.
- Strong understanding of educational technology, data analytics, outreach strategies, and innovative tech solutions.
- Proficiency in leveraging multiple tech platforms, including WhatsApp, social media, web-based dashboards, and mobile apps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and diverse stakeholders.
