- Build blue print for Digital strategy and manage a cost effective IT set up by getting pro- bono help from external partnerships
- Participate and contribute to overall organization governance
- Be the Tech face of the organization to the external world
- Build information culture, literacy and capability to leverage IT within the organization
- Build Digital Roadmap and Technology backbone
- Build the Digital Strategy in line with the Organizational goals
- Define and bring to life Enterprise Architecture
- Define a Tech Stack and hire and retain technology enthusiasts who will be able to develop and deploy scalable applications
- Define and implement IT policies and processes including Information security and data privacy
- Define IT standards for certification and compliance
- Track top technology trends and ensure ISDMs tech estate is always kept current
- Create a network of powerful strategic and tactical partnerships to build a robust organization that will deliver successful digital strategy
- Utilize the appropriate philosophy Build vs Buy vs Partner, framework and downstream decisions to establish an efficient ecosystem
- Hire, manage and retain a small team of highly competent internal team members who evolve with the needs and pace of emerging digital initiatives
- Build sustainable and strategic partnerships with technology leaders and IT service providers
- Periodic review and regular governance of partnerships and overall IT ecosystem
- Be an architect, designer and implementer of technically agile platforms, solutions and tools
- Conceptualize and develop digital solutions to support various business processes for Outreach, Brand Building, ERP/ Operations Excellence, Placements, Admissions, alumni and BOK
- Build Tech Infrastructure which includes networks, Data Center / Cloud, Workplace, Information Security and Data Privacy
- Build Visualization and BI layers that include governance solution for leadership
- Define Data Architecture and ensure single-source of truth for all data entities. Create a data back end for use of Machine Learning and AI solutions
- Improve Quality of learning /education by leveraging LMS and other solutions - for on demand, personalized learning
- Build content lab to digitize content and help build blended and purely online courses with global scale and reach
- Deliver value from Technology Investments
- Uptime, availability and performance of IT applications
- Create world class user experience to engage audiences including SPOs, Other Ecosystem players and users
- Define financial and non-financial value to be delivered while committing to any investment and periodically measure on the ground delivery against that
- Set up processes and tools for delivering highly efficient managed services
Educational Qualifications and Experience Required:
- The candidate should possess a minimum qualification of Bachelors degree from a reputed college preferably in Computer Science. Candidates with Masters degree in the related fields of Computer Science, Technology or related concentrations will be desired.
- The candidate should have 12-20 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role as CTO/CDO/CIO of a mid-size organization or a direct report of CDO /CIO of a large organization.
Ideal Characteristics and Skillsets Required:
- The candidate should have demonstrated experience of tracking and leveraging new tech trends, building scalable tech platforms and running a 24 x7, high availability, mission critical IT set up.
- The candidate should ideally be from App space with reasonable understanding of IT Infrastructure, Data Privacy and Information Security domains.
- The candidate should be able to make smart data driven decisions based on high-quality, high-volume, real-time data.
- The candidate should be able to create channel-agnostic content strategy and framework.
- The candidate should be able to recognize shortcomings and leverage technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to improve processes or services.
- The candidate should have a forward thinking mindset to transform the organization through the ever-changing landscape of digital advancement
