Chief Technical Officer - HR Tech Product Startup (5-10 yrs)

Co-founding CTO | HR Tech Product Startup founded by IIT IIM Alum

- Please note that this is going to be mostly an equity based role. If you are looking out purely with a short term intent of compensation revision, then this is NOT the right opportunity for you.

- We are passionately building a product in the HRTech space and hiring future tech leaders who can synergize with our vision to bring far-reaching changes in the recruitment space.

- This product is an outcome of our insights into the recruitment space with 20 years of experience in recruiting teams into our respective organizations.

- Founding team includes IIT IIM alumni with experience in scaling up multiple Startups as well as well-established companies.

- In the same context, we are looking for a Tech leader who shares our vision and passion to create something from the ground up.

- Someone who is as invested as we all are and is ready to take the leap of faith with us to work relentlessly towards creating that legacy.

To put it in words, the primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following :

- Responsible for All Things Tech

- Nurture and lead the in-house engineering team, 3rd party development partners, and head the integrations of partner API's to our platform

- Driving performance, efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and product development team

- Aligning and providing feedback on the product roadmap, work closely with product to decide on prioritization, resource allocation, and timelines

- Responsible for end to end architecture, high level design/ low level design of overall system

- Leading all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance

- Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product

- Building out our tech stack and engineering hiring plan

- Building quality assurance and data protection processes, ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards

- Building a technology leadership team that can expertly manage their own teams, develop a strong and focused culture, and be responsive to the organization's needs

- Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

In terms of exposure and personal traits that we would want in our tech leader :

- Prior CTO or Head of Engineering experience for a start-up, preferably with a track record of one or more successful exits

- Experience in early stage startup with an exposure to multi faceted role

- Exposure in designing the software architecture and personally building digital products from early stage through to scaling and maturity

- Willingness to learn new languages, tools and methodologies

- Willingness to be a part of a fast-paced and creative learning environment

- Long term strategic intent while designing and maintaining the tech architecture from the perspective of implementation, scale, performance, usability

- Should be able to not just lead but also nurture and inspire the team to put in their best foot forward

- Absolute clarity of thought with analytical bent of mind that relies on data driven analysis rather than just the instinct

- Being a self starter with a problem solving attitude is a must who flourishes in ambiguity

- Should be curious enough to challenge things in AS-IS mode, diligent enough to come up with a foolproof roadmap and persistent enough to implement the same

- Above all, the person should be able to resonate with the founders' vision pertaining to the team culture.

So we want an effective leader and team-player who knows how to hire and manage the right talent to scale the Engineering team. Attitude is the most important cut-off for us.

Bare minimum technical expertise that is required for this role is :

- Strong CS fundamentals and experience in Python , MongoDB, and React

- Hands-on experience with AWS services

- Working experience with Microservices and Event Driven System Architecture

- Keeping these factors in mind, we have intentionally put in a broad spectrum in terms of experience range.

- Anyone in the bracket of 5 to 10 years of experience who matches our criteria can be a good fit.
