Chief Risk Officer - Banking/NBFC (10-20 yrs)

Position:

We are looking for a Risk Officer who will be responsible for establishing & maintaining entire Risk Framework which will include identification, measurement, and mitigation of all types of Risks primarily Credit Risk.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Design and Implement the Credit Policy Framework (Credit Risk & Control policy, related framework, and processes)for all three Business Verticals (B2B, Direct to Retail and Services) of the Company to identify, assess, monitor, measure and control the Credit Risk with Customers.

- Continuous updation of the Credit Policy Framework basis the changing risk appetite &business requirements of a particular vertical

- All credit limits shall be approved/vetted from the angle of inherent and control risks

- Identify and resolve material credit risk issues through Bank Guarantees / Letter of Credit / Financial Instruments /Trade Insurance etc

- Trade Receivables Management

- Re-conciliation of ledgers

- Continuous Evaluation of Outstanding dues beyond the Credit Period

- Continuous collaboration with legal team to initiate re-conciliation / litigation on parties with long standing dues

- Status update on debtor balances under dispute

- Ensuring the overall quality of the debtors by planning all aspects of Credit Risk with the customers

- Periodical credit limit reviews and re-approvals of all customers.

- Identifying the parties to whom Sales are made in-excess of Credit Limit

- Prepare reports deemed necessary to convey the credit risk levels to management & the board

- Interact with Management as well as leadership of all departments to facilitate the implementation of the Credit Risk Policies

- Periodically measure Company's Industry-Wise Credit Risk Exposure at the Consolidated level

- Understanding business processes and being able to translate them into identification and assessment of operational risk in the products and activities performed

- Collect, Calculate and Process Data towards modelling to generate risk scores for individual parties

- Data mining, analytics, research, and capabilities development supporting regulated data (e.g. credit bureau information) and non-regulated data (e.g. aggregated or vertically compiled) to support Change Management, Operational Risk Events, and Strategic Decisions

- Constantly monitor and evaluate Early Warning Signals and amend the Credit Limit Framework to manage the risk concentration across a broad range of parameters

- Blacklisting Customers with bad credit history

- Explore traditional and alternative commercial credit and fraud data/services

- Driving consistent standards across the Credit Risk Processes across locations

Profile:

- Chartered Accountant / MBA / FRM or equivalent qualification with experience in Establish & Managing Credit Risk at Company level

- Total 10-20 years of experience in the Banking/NBFC/Fintech space or a combination of these with exposure to Infrastructure Sector Lending, Retail Lending &SME Lending(Out of which 5-7 years of experience at management level will be preferred)

- Experience of working with the major 3rd party tools to extract and analyse the latest financial data to assess the credit worthiness

- Ability to understand the business needs/problems and be able to provide thought leadership to maintain an effective Credit Risk Framework

- Highly proficient at Excel &Word

- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Mentor / Manage the team and create the leader within the team

- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong relationship building, management and influencing skills
