Chief Risk Analytics Officer Job Objective :

Specifically, this role is required to develop a master risk thesis for our different lines of products (Unsecured Personal Loans, Unsecured Business Loans and such other products), creating scorecards and risk algorithms for all such products. Also, automate credit decisioning and work with the technology team to implement the scorecards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


- Be part of the core team to develop risk underwriting infrastructure with specific focus on Credit Scoring, risk modeling and application scorecard development


- Develop end to end Credit Risk scorecards ranging from applications to collections scorecard.


- Process Credit Bureau data as relevant for the specific scorecard at hand.


- Prepare modeling data using both internal and external data.


- Monitor models in production. Report model performance and validity statistics. -

- Interact with model governance team on model build and model monitoring. - Recalibrate specific models as per need.


- Develop / improve current machine learning models (Random Forest, XG Boost, etc.) using R/Python

- Devise onboarding journey for new as well as repeat customers with multiple flows such as Bureau based STP, Banking based STP and lastly manual underwriting process with a focus on speed and efficiency.

- Actively work with external data providers such as Credit Bureaus and other API providers to further streamline credit process


- Represent the company with our lending partner Financial Institutions such as Banks NBFCs, creating alignment with them on our risk and underwriting thesis


- Continually work on the development of new models and the maintenance and improvement of existing models for risk underwriting and performance measurement. Keep pace with latest developments in field of analytics & modelling globally and implement appropriate techniques to improve or redesign existing models/algorithms.

SPECIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES

- Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, econometrics, economics, mathematical finance, finance, Computer sciences or applied science such as physics

- Minimum Experience: - Should have a minimum of 10-15 years of work experience in Risk Analytics preferably in financial services company in a team lead/team management role. Work experience in policy or risk functions related to unsecured consumer or retail loans Fintech / NBFC / Bank would be desirable

Skills Required:


- Must have sound understanding and thorough working knowledge of financial risk management frameworks appropriate for a financial services company


- Must have strong background in probability and statistics - Knowledge of advanced statistical tools such as Segmentation Tools, Decision Trees, Clustering, Regression, and other analytical techniques.


- Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and its application in risk management.


- Must have practical experience of developing and leading a team to develop statistical and machine learning algorithms in R/Stata/Matlab/Python and using SQL


- Should have experience in developing data driven analytics and decision-making frameworks from scratch for structured as well as unstructured data

- Must be a person looking to adopt newer technology and advanced analytical concepts for continuous innovation to solve problems and to design better risk management tools - Strong work ethic, a start-up ethos and high ownership mindset is a must


- Must demonstrate high level of oral and written communication skills including but not limited presentations, leading meetings with different stakeholders and reporting to the Risk Committee and the Board of directors


- Must be a problem solver and should be an expert in dealing with ambiguous, amorphous and abstract business.
