Job Description - Chief Operation Officer - Agri Commodities Trading

- Extensive domain knowledge of the agri-commodity space in India. Prior experience in procurement and warehousing of agri-commodities is a must.

Work stints on the field will be an added advantage.

- Ability to effectively conceptualize, build, test and implement systems and processes for the organization.

- Capability to do end-to-end inventory management of physical agri commodities stored across various locations in India. Liaison with all the warehouse service providers and laboratories to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures are followed.

- Set-up internal process with checks and balances for inventory and cashflow management

- Develop Risk management matrices for the management. Suggest and implement steps to mitigate risks at various levels

- Generate MIS reports with in-depth analysis for Clients

- Ensure reconciliation between Front office data, Back-office data, Accounts and MIS

- Liaison with Regulators / Exchange to ensure due compliances, if required

- Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder who has experience in scaling up organizations; ability to connect staff both on an individual level and in large groups; capacity to enforce accountability, develop and empower top-notch leaders from the bottom up, lead from the top down,cultivate entrepreneurship, and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team so as to put people in a position to succeed

- Action Oriented- enjoys working hard and looks for challenges; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; not afraid to take charge of a situation; can overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands when necessary

- Educational background- MBA, CA or similar advanced degree in Economics (macro & micro), Agricultural economics, Agri-business Management, Econometrics highly desired

- Compensation will be market competitive.
