JOB PURPOSE : Lead overall set-up of warehousing and logistics Business to ensure optimum utilization of promoter's properties and the land on lease. Also to ensure that Legal free/Hassle Free logistics management at strong P&amp;L and to maintain the warehouse efficiently in order to monetize the Properties at competitive prices. Provide operational leadership and management to ensure accurate operational controls, measurement and reporting systems to support a safe, effective and reliable operation. KRA's : 1. Setting-up a warehouse chain across the promoter's land: Design develop and maintain a chain of warehouses across the country 2. Warehouse design finalization and Warehouse implementation monitoring. Responsible for implementation of SOP for functioning of warehouse 3. Ability and knowledge to understand which location would optimize the utilization of warehouses and thereby generate more revenue 4. Define the operational metrics, set up processes and systems to scale up business with the unwavering focus on operational efficiency and profitability. 5. Co-ordination with PMC &amp; design consultant for smooth implementation of the project. 6. Responsible for implementation of IT systems &amp; software for warehouse management. 7. Executing projects in a time bound manner with various project related activities such as planning, solution engineering. 8. Setting-up of warehouse operations (own or concession model) 9. Responsible for implementation of safety &amp; security and admin control in the warehouse. 10. Preparing, managing and communicating the operational strategy in support of the overarching company strategy. Reviewing, developing and measuring key metrics for the operation. 11. To deal with customs authorities for handling the bonded warehouse goods. Additionally interacting with other key influencers among clients for ascertaining requirements, making presentations and delivering need base product solutions 12. Responsible for team building &amp; their functional roles. Leading, training &amp; monitoring the performance of the team members to ensure efficiency in operations and meeting of individual &amp; group targets. 13. Ensuring adherence to high ethical and Legal standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws. Managing 3rd Party and internal audits for Quality &amp; Inventory 14. Financing warehouses at respective locations as individual profit centers 15. Co-ordinate the funding aspect of the warehouse-chain through debt and equity 16. Responsible for P&amp;L, revenue model and cost structure. Also for implementing and managing the operational budget efficiently resulting in cost reduction, business process and procedures for improving performances 17. Ensuring continuous delivery of services through management of service level agreements with end users and monitoring performance 18. Define the operational metrics, set up processes and systems to scale up business with the unwavering focus on operational efficiency and profitability. Measure performance, provide feedback and hold Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. 19. Manage a capex of over 100 crores rupees. It- ll be a warehouse chain worth 100+ Crore rupees 20. Responsible for business development in order to drive business growth 21. Ensuring all current safety security practices, protocols, testing, audits and education plans are developed, maintained and communicated across the organization. Relevant and total years of Experience : - Total exposure of 20+ years in warehousing/logistics-management/Railways/e-commerce organizations - Should have handled large IT warehousing/fulfillment centers in the range of 100,000-400,000 sq. ft Should have capabilities of envisaging and executing M &amp; A / JV transactions to grow the business both organically and in-organically Educational Qualifications : - BE / MBA (preferably in SCM) from Premier Institutions - Must possess excellent knowledge of Modern warehouse and inventory practices This is a Profit Centre Head position. Candidates not possessing above qualifications &amp; Skills or with lower experience will not be considered.
