Chief Operating Officer - Private Equity Firm (10-20 yrs)
Our client is a one of the leading private equity firms in India, listing primarily in listed companies across sectors.
To cater to their growing business, they are looking for a senior professional to join them as a COO. The COO will be broadly responsible for managing all non-investment related operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Administration: Managing numerous external relationships including administrators, banks, brokers, custodians, auditors and lawyers. The COO is expected to manage all external vendor relationships including documentation and payments.
- Fund Operations: Focus on all activities related to fund operations ranging from NAV creation to opining on audited financials.
- HR: Implement all HR functions including offer letters and compliance.
- IT: Oversee the IT infrastructure for the firm. This includes continuously implementing processes around secure protection, as well as Business Continuity Planning (- BCP- ).
- Regulatory: Support the compliance officer in all SEC and SEBI related regulatory matters
- Compliance: Enforce a strong internal compliance framework. Maintaining a grey and black list for personal trades
Ideal Candidate:
You will be an operations professional with 10-15 years of relevant experience with an investment firm. Experience and knowledge of fund administration and fund accounting is critical to this role. Broader understanding of all non-investment operations in an investment firm, and experience in managing the same are qualities that will differentiate the successful candidate.
