Chief Operating Officer - Post Graduate Institution (10-15 yrs)

Key Responsibility Areas

Lead and manage operations

- Create, own, and manage the entire operational process

- Ensure we meets the enrolment requirement of students year on year and develop a strategic enrolment management and supervision of the admissions processing

- Develop, manage and implement a strategic outreach plan/communication admission plan by leveraging various social media platforms and create a digitally seamless process

- Create a roadmap and implement strategies to position the brand among students, parents, SPOs, corporates, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem

- Devise engaging plan of action to involve alumni to contribute towards the growth

- Develop, lead, and manage the placement process and create a strategic placement plan of action

Manage and run the day-day-operations

- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives

- Ensure that the academic programs, digital priorities, and key compliances are in alignment with the goals and objectives and operating smoothly

- Oversee and manage the human resources, finances and allocate necessary resources (capital, human etc.) to ensure effective execution of organizations priorities

- Assist and support the CTOin operationalizing digital goals and objectives

- Socialize and push for adoption of digital and technological efforts undertaken by the Digital team among all employees

Engagement with the ecosystem

- Build deep engagement with individuals and organization across the world to drive the development and adoption of Development Management practices

- Identify and partner with high-level stakeholders and leaders in the government, media and SPOs and other relevant organizations to achieve strategic priorities

Build and manage a high-performing team

- Lead and drive all initiatives and programs aimed at achieving mission and goals

- Build and hire the right resources in the program and operations team

- Instill an entrepreneurial mindset, and establish a culture of high accountability and high performance/ excellence within the institution

- Establish effective decision-making processes and other structures within the team to enable the institution to achieve its long and short-term goals and objectives

Build financial resilience

- Network with donors and key funders and support the President in the fundraising efforts

- Drive up the revenue pool from the work that ISDM does excluding Intellectual Property and reduce the burden on Grant Funding in the years to come

- Diligent planning and financial risk management

- Constantly explore and experiment with innovative financial solutions

Build ISDM as an Exemplar organization in the social sector

- Become a role model organization for the DM principles and frameworks we teach

- Build robust governance mechanisms to protect and strengthen the organization

Educational Qualifications and Experience Required:

- The candidate should possess a minimum qualification of a Masters degree in Management studies, Business Administration and related fields and a strong orientation towards Humanities/Liberal Arts

- The candidate should have at least 10 years of total work experience and spent 6+ years in a leadership and management role leading strategy, people and teams with operational excellence

- The candidate should have been responsible for a scale-up in business operations within his/her organization

- Outstanding presentation skills and the experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson, relationship builder, and fundraiser
