Chief Operating Officer - COO - FMCG

Location : Mumbai

CTC : 45 - 50 lpa

- We are looking for a high-performing candidate to head the business. He will be responsible for the formulation and execution of the strategic plan that turns Company into the first port of call in India for niche consumer brands looking at India Entry. He will be a strong dynamic leader with extensive experience, vision, and knowledge of the FMCG Industry and how it is evolving in the digital era by adopting to current trends on E-Commerce and Direct to Consumer.

- The COO will be leading a team of Sales professionals, E-Commerce Account Managers, HR, Logistics, Finance & Digital Marketing Experts. He will be required to handle entire gamut of sales through various channels like Modern trade, Ecommerce, DTC and select premium general trade. He will be responsible for interacting with foreign consumer brands and clinch them as clients of the company.

The Ideal candidate should have worked in a Top Class FMCG company with 5+ years of experience in sales roles like ASM/RSM, at least 3+ years- experiences on Brand Marketing and finally should be looking after the E-Commerce/ Direct to Consumer operations for the company overlast 3 years. A total experience of 10-15 yearssplit between sales; trade marketing& E Commerce is what we are looking for.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage end to end relationships with clients of the company like ET Browne, Clorox Inc, Associated British Foods Plc, Varta Co&othersto design the entry strategy and getfunding and supportto make the brands big in Indian Subcontinent.

- Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/ PR program and its activities along with our clients and then monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.

- Look at the entire Marketing function of the brands which includes working effectively with Digital Marketing & Other Agencies to develop effective marketing strategies which enhance consumer awareness and bring in topline.

- Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives.

- Ensure that evaluation systems are in place related to these goals and objectives and report progress to the Board of Directors & clients of the company.

- Manage end to end customer relationship and drive Joint Business Planning with E-Commerce accounts in India like Amazon, Flipkart, Big Basket, Hands on Trade, Nykaa, Jio Mart and all others through his team of E-Commerce Account Managers

- Manage end to end customer relationship and drive Joint Business Planning with MR Accountslike Reliance Retail, Aditya Birla Retail, Spencers, Big Bazar, Metro Cash & Carry, Apollo Pharmacy, Guardian, Noble Plus, 98.4, MedPlus and all other important accounts on a PAN India basis.

- Managing Trade Spends for General Trade & TOT Payments to E-Com & MR accounts will be a key responsibility as it will directly impact topline & bottom-line of the company.

- Managing the Sale Hierarchy through the RSMs reporting to him for effective execution of brand plans in Select Premium General Trade stores

- Forecasting Demand and monitoring the availability of all SKUsfor the brands we sell in India will be a critical part of this role.

- This will directly impact brand progress along with Working Capital which needs to be optimally used in driving growth

- The Incumbent will need to deliver annual Revenue & Profitability targets for the company. He should be looking for a long-term assignment and should be happy in growing with the company.

- Familiarity with Venture Capital framework and funding through various rounds of capital raise will be an added advantage.

- Align monthly penetration and turnover

- Plan for and execute modern trade, e-commerce and all other emerging channels

- Drive pull based initiatives in the channel, especially with e-commerce players

- Put together process for driving and measuring excellence in execution

- Appropriately put together a robust route to market infrastructure
