Chief Operating Officer/Operations Head - Consulting Firm (10-15 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee effective project management systems to ensure both quality and timeliness in the organisation's research initiatives
- Manage technical and financial reporting to donors on project progress
- Manage contracting process with funders and external vendors
- Manage functions related to budgeting and accounts
- Lead critical human resource functions, including recruitment, evaluation, and staff welfare and skill development
- Cultivate and promote an organizational culture of excellence, independence, and creative thinking
- Help the organization meet its fundraising goals by developing and executing a fundraising strategy in coordination with the Executive Director
Skills/background:
- 6 -10 years of work experience, including a minimum of 3-5 years in a management role, preferably in a research or consulting organization, non-profit, or similar institution
- Strong, demonstrable skills in operations and human resource management
- Impeccable written and verbal communications skills
- Understanding of the demands of a policy research environment
- Strong analytical skills and creative - outside-the-box- thinking
- Experience working in the Global South and preferably in India
