Chief Operating Officer - FMCG (20-28 yrs)

- Collaborate with the Promoter in evolving, setting & driving high quality organisational vision & operational strategy

- Ensure achievement of budgeted sales revenues, growth & profitability

- Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance

- Lead, guide and motivate a team into becoming a cohesive and professional unit, across functions

- Ensure achievement of budgeted sales revenues, growth and profitability

- Set up rigorous annual budgeting processes, reviews and course corrections in execution as needed, to ensure budgets are met

- Ensure timely cash flow analysis and management for smooth operations

- Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth

- Direct sales and marketing activities efficiently and effectively, as also other functions such as Finance, Outbound Logistics and Exports

- Ensure adequate data driven business analytics to support and aid sound decision making across all spheres of direct control

- Ensure off-take generation for brand(s), impacting volumes and market share

- Help set up and implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning

- Ensure effective recruiting, on-boarding, professional development, performance and retention of employees as required

- Ensure adequate direct contact and build relationships with channel partners and other agencies

Understand, device and implement strong training programmes on an ongoing basis for key team, especially Sales and Marketing

- Device and implement strong and robust MIS in Sales, Marketing & Finance functions

- Keep the Promoter/Managing Director fully informed of day to day activities, with adequate formal business reviews

- Keep abreast with industry trends, competitor activity & performance, and internal and external best practices, using analytics, strategic business acumen to interpret and translate into tangible results

Desired Profile: 

- Seasoned General Management professional with 20-25 plus years experience in FMCG industry; personal care category experience will be advantageous

- Proven COO/SBU Head/Senior Management level experience required

- Hands on experience in Sales and Marketing essential

- Desired skill sets: leadership, organisational management, problem solving, foresight into potential issues, relationship building, communication

- Solid understanding of data analysis and performance metrics

- Professionalism, integrity and business ethics are expected to be of high order

- Malayalam/Tamil knowledge is a must
