Chief Operating Officer - FinTech (12-20 yrs)

Job Purpose:

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience within the banking industry, having worked through the ranks. The candidate should possess a unique mix of business and
management expertise, and proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of the wealth management industry. We are looking for a COO with strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a strategic point of view.

People Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy.

2. Standardize the internal management process and improve the current processes.

3. Partner with internal stakeholders to drive operational excellency.

4. Build and manage strategic partnership with external parties.

5. Set up business processes, procedures and policies through in-depth evaluation, and execution of continuous improvements in standard practices and quality control.

6. Lead and control strategic project planning process, and resource allocations.

7. Act as the point of contact and Provider Manager for external Service Providers.

8. Balance multiple program/projects from initiative to closure by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

9. Define project scope, objectives, and governance in collaboration with management and business partners

10. Actively lead project scope and objectives against quality standards, targets and budgets

11. Plan, manage and track project delivery breakthroughs, resources, timeline, and budget

12. Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and issues as well as actively track / drive respective mitigations.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree, MBA preferred

2. 12+ years of experience in risk management or operations in financial services

3. Understanding of industry relevant regulatory- and legal-aspects

4. Able to work independently

5. Conceptual and analytical thinking

6. Strong experiences in private banking, and wealth management

7. Driven, meticulous, delivery-oriented, problem solver, great communicator

8. Comfortable with pressures, deadlines, and expanding responsibilities

Soft skills:

1. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationships.

2. Ability to build and lead a team.

3. Highly motivated and determined to work in a fast-pace, fast-growing and entrepreneurial company.

4. Detail oriented, commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.

5. To be able to handle complex and complicated situations with dexterity.
