Looking for a COO for an organisation into power and energy industry. Purpose: Supervise and control all strategic and business aspects of the company, responsible for the overall business operations strategy. Overseeing daily operations and keeping the MD apprised of significant events. Required : - Experience in an Engineering Products/Capital Equipment/Project based organisation preferred. - 10 years of experience in a senior management position - Exposure to African countries/organisation will be advantage Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or MBA Skills - Proven experience as COO or other managerial position within a power related business - Understanding of business functions such as Finance, Service, HR etc. - Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development - An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills Key Duties and Responsibilities : - Develop high quality operations strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives - Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes - Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing managerial team - Oversee daily operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission - Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders - Lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company's standards and policies
