Chief Operating Officer - Education Trust (20-25 yrs)
Ensure the quality and efficient delivery of academic programmes
ii. Advisory & supervisory role in institution finance, accounting and legal affairs
iii. Provides guidance to Modern Education Society's (MES) administrative and management staff in budget development, preparation, monitoring and management
iv. Ensure effective delivery of programs as per the objects mentioned in the Trust Deed
v. Develop plans along with the Management in strategic planning for the MES and its institutions
vi. Develop, implement and oversee procedures within the MES and institutes that support internal control regarding fiscal management including, but not limited to: budget preparation, expense authorization, and reconciliation of institute accounts, internal and statutory audit processes
vii. Ensuring effective control and use of resources at all levels
viii. Leadership & management of the entire institution staff, ensuring appropriate recruitment and selection, support, direction, performance management and learning and development for all employees (as per the guidelines of Government and constitution of MES)
ix. Responsible for monitoring faculty performance and using evaluative data to drive improvement and results relative to faculty engagement
x. Presenting periodical reports about the state of affairs of the MES and the institutes to the Senate and highlight the areas of priority
xi. Work for Internationalization / National Collaborations in the field of academics
xii. Fundraising from Corporates, alumni, foundations and individuals
xiii. Develop an appropriate team - high on delivery
1. Strategic Leadership:
i. To instill a culture of continuous improvement and promote high standards of excellence across all areas.
ii. To develop and implement, in association with the management and approval of the Board, an annual & a long term strategic plan that will set the direction of the institution
2. Key Skills:
i. Needs to have a proven track record of Handling operations of reputed University / educational institutions
ii. Understanding of legal matters in Charitable / Educational institutions
iii. Experience of dealing with different stakeholders in Government
iv. Needs to have a proven track record of Handling operations of reputed University / educational institutions
v. Strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence, effectively manage and lead others
vi. Strategic thinker
vii. Strong interpersonal skills
viii. Ability to adapt to and embrace continuous change
Minimum of 20 years of experience and at least 8 - 10 years of experience in heading and effectively running educational institutions
