Chief of Staff - Group Chairman - Power Sector (10-20 yrs)

JOB PURPOSE

Providing high-level executive assistance and administrative support to Chairman on Businesses, Economies, Government structure & Political situation etc. Current Affairs keeping Chairman informed all the time about latest news across globe in particular and in general. Support in preparing Speeches, Talking / Discussion Points, White Papers, Press Releases etc. Fixing appointments in India and abroad, with Governments, Embassies, and Business Leaders through corporate relations. Making logistical arrangements for attending conferences in India and abroad including travel arrangements, gifts etc.

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators

- Managing of Promoters office: Hands on experience in assistance up of promoters office and managing it successfully for business house.

Family Business/Trust Management:

- Successfully working with large Indian business houses for development of family business trust and managing it.

- Should support GCM on the latest updates wrt Finance regulations pertaining to RBI, SEBI etc.: to review the reports and create synopsis for the GCM study

Strategy & Business Planning:

- Experience in strategy and business planning department for large business conglomerate.

Performance Management & Budgeting:

- Independently handling business planning, budgeting and business performance review for large business house with multiple operations in India and abroad.

- Good experience in preparing and monitoring the business planning and budgeting at group level. Good experience in designing and implementing business performance management system like Balance Score card, MPCP, performance monitoring etc.

Analysis of Budgets and financial statements

- Identify areas of cost control and cost reduction at department level

- Follow-ups with Business Sector SPOCs to ensure closure of identified issues in Financial Statements

- Financial Restructuring including reduction of finance charges and correctness

- Control over Budget vs. Actual Revenue and Expenditure for Group Companies

Finance Management:

- Hands on experience in budget preparation, project fund raising from banks/PE.

- Good experience in product costing and cost management.

- Control over Budget vs. Actual Revenue and Expenditure for Group Companies

- Setting up of reviews Planned Vs. Actual Support in GHB AOP Reviews (Full Year + Mid Year)

- Draft calendar for GHB AOP Review of sectors for Full Year + Mid year in alignment with the GHB Dates

- Support updating the common slides in GHB review deck

- Prepare sector-wise Action Trackers comprising of points from AOP Promises, MOM Points, Strategic Initiatives summary.

- Integration of presentation documents

- Monitor the timelines,

- Integration of presentation documents Support in BSC of GCM

- Cascade BSC of GCM, Support in goal setting for CEOs and Sector Heads,

- Support in review by GCM, Finalize and share the 'approved' goal sheets to team,

- Support GCM on financial-performance assessment as and when needed

- Adherence to Goal Setting, Mid Year and Annual performance assessment for GCMO employees, the CEOs and the sector-heads

- Ensure that the goals are aligned and cascaded and measures are SMART

Project Management:

- Independently handling green field/brow field project commissioning.

- Good experience in handling improvement projects both at company and group level.

- Monitor Plan Vs. Actuals

Business Development.

- Good experience in developing and managing B2B and B2C businesses.

- Support GCM by working on various dashboard for single window view on various - initiatives, process, and projects.

- This also includes providing support to GCMO in designing suitable dashboard for objective review of same by GCM + follow up with Sectors

Relevant and total years of Experience

- Min 15+ Years of experience. Candidate must have experience in Power sector.

- Min of 5 yrs of experience as O&M

- Engineer in Large power plants- Gas and coal based power plants. He should have fair knowledge about Indian power sector, regulatory issues.

- Should have good Financial acumen and commercial acumen.

- Project Management Skills.

- Communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with strong drive for execution and result orienting

- Stakeholder Management and Building relationship

- Drive for results even in non-reporting relationships
