- Our client is a market leader and one of key players in the Retail sector with presence across multiple locations within India
- Maintain High focus on Digital, Customer expectations and consistent touch point with Market direction
- Manage all categories Offline and Online while being responsible for end to end Category design, Consumer insights and behaviour
- Work closely with Analytics team on defining the right pricing strategy to offer the customer best in class value yet delivery on profitability goals
- Manage selection of buyers, purchasing strategy and timeline
- Key focus on Margin management and speed to market
- Define assortment for the brand by product-types / clusters, optimize assortment width within clusters for better inventory turns while ensuring full range availability for the customer
- Must have high commercial focus and understand nuances of different channels to design service delivery accordingly
- Lead, design and execute Vendor Partnership Plan and Strategic partnership
- Engage with Marketing teams to design the events calendar, customer engagement programs and promotion strategy with the objective to feature the right merchandise, pull in traffic, and deliver the right value proposition (promos, bundling, liquidation) to ensure conversion
- Create Net Margin action plan with clear timelines to deliver the targeted net Margins at business unit and department level with increased gross Margins, cost savings and OR management.
- Recruit talent, build teams and coach and develop associates
- Expert and versatile in retail domain or digital-native, new-age business models
- Proven in building businesses by serving customers via tech-platforms and digital marketing
- Graduate w/ MBA preferred
