CLIENT: - Our client is one of the premier E-Commerce companies in India. It is a pioneer in the internet space in India. BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE: - Our client is looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to oversee all marketing operations of the company and develop its marketing strategy and vision. Reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, the incumbent will be in charge of a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals and will direct all marketing efforts towards great success and outperforming competition. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set marketing goals and objectives - Plan, implement and manage marketing strategy - Lead all Branding efforts (Online and Offline) - Annual Budget preparation - Work with cross functional teams like Product, Sales and Customer success teams - Create and present the annual marketing plan and strategy - Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions - Analyze company's marketing strategy and suggest improvements - Leading the Designing, planning and execution of effective marketing campaigns - Communication - Consumer Research and Insights - Reputation Management - Partner Relationship Management EXPERIENCE: - Seasoned Marketing professional with 15 to 20 years overall experience - Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role in a Consumer facing Industry; exposure in a high growth startup environment would be a huge plus - Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand building and communication, - Demonstrated experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.) - Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods - Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g., social media) and non-digital (e.g., press) channels - Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities - MBA in Marketing from a Premier Institute in India or abroad; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering would be a huge plus
