Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) / Chief Business Officer/CEO (in making)

The domestic retail business, domestic B2B and international business will be part of his /her portfolio.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

- Minimum of 19+ years of progressive experience in senior marketing roles within the agrochemical or related industries. Also open to Pharma industry background - having exposure in chemicals +pharma.

- Proven track record of successful strategic planning and implementation of marketing initiatives that have driven business growth.

- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on mentorship and talent development.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and derive actionable insights.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Role Overview:

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) , you will lead the strategic vision and execution of comprehensive marketing initiatives. Leveraging your extensive experience and industry insights, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth, market presence, and brand recognition. The CMO role will include the P&L for all the business lines including domestic, B2B and exports. In addition, the role will also include the function of registration only and NOT manufacturing aspect.

The proposed position manages three principle segments of business viz.,

- Domestic Retail brand business

- Domestic B2B bulk business

- International Business incl. business from international Key Accounts.

- CMO will be part of Top Management Decision Making Group and shall have opportunity to interact with Promoter family and Board of Directors.

- This role will be responsible for the current Agrochemical business across segments and will also have the future business segments such as Specialty Nutrition, Biologicals, Services such as Drone spraying, Diagnostics etc.

Key Responsibilities (Indicative only):

CMO will have P&L responsibility along with the following key areas of responsibilities.

1. Develop and executive Long Term and Short Term Strategy of the Organization including formulating Vision, Mission and Objectives of the Company.

2. To formulate detailed Yearly Business Plans encompassing Volume & Revenue plans, profit & profitability objectives , cash generation plans, market share, business growth and sustainability objectives.

3. To ensure deployment of Revenue, profit and expenditure objectives across business segments and to achieve the stated objectives in each of the segments.

4. To devise matching Marketing and branding strategy in sync with the plans and ensure strict implementation in line with the productivity objectives.

5. To ensure continuous expansion/rationalization of channel/crop/product strategy in line with business objectives.

6. To manage financial and business risk within the boundaries of risk appetite of the Organization in terms of Channel credit risk, receivables management incl. reduction in bad debts, Product phase out risks due to regulatory constraints etc.,

7. To understand and take suitable steps for product identification, product development and product introduction in collaboration with R&D, Regulatory and PD and Technology transfer Group.

8. To design and populate the Organization structure for current needs and future growth of the Organization.

9. To ensure rationalization , optimisation and deployment of human and financial resources across business segments in an optimal way with a view to achieve highest productivity of resources.

10. To develop road map for capability development with contextual and contemporary Training and Development plans of the Sales and Marketing Organization for effective delivery on current roles and to have future ready team .

11. To collaborate with HR in developing robust Performance Management System encompassing goal setting, continuous monitoring of goal achievement, reward and recognition programmes, succession planning, Individual Development Plans of key managers etc.,

12. To collaborate with Finance in devising and implementing internal control systems, audits, financial discipline and ensure desired Working Capital turns and productivity of Capital deployed in sales and marketing.

13. To ensure continuous monitoring and reporting of mega tends, Sector trends, agro chemical business tends and peer Group performance with a view to fine tune our business plans.

14. To play key role identifying, evaluating and entering new business adjacencies in line with Company Strategy.

15. To lead Company's participation in global and national Industry Events, business excellence initiatives with a view to benchmark our performance.

16. To champion initiatives in nurturing and developing talent within the Organization for a smooth succession planning.

17. To champion in developing digital and automation initiatives with a view to automate smooth information flow and MIS across the Organization.

18. To play active role in system and process compliance across the organization esp. sales and marketing structure.

19. Oversee and direct the team on Brand , drive demand generation initiatives through digital and offline channels for customer acquisition and develop potential customer pipeline.

20. Direct team on Digital Marketing initiatives

21. This position holds a very pivotal role in the organisation which is almost like playing a Business Head role to drive business into a strong position.
