Our client is one of the largest paint company & manufacturer, offering a wide range of painting & waterproofing solutions for homes, offices & more.  Job Description :   - Deciding the approach strategy for litigations - whether to defend or to go to court and reassessing with the progress of the case.  - Regularly updating oneself on laws and sharing with superiors/stakeholders in the organization.  - Advising the entire organization on any relevant areas across functions.  - Working on understanding and assessing the legal framework for mergers and acquisitions.  - Informing and advising the organization on laws relevant to new strategic areas like home improvement.  - Advising on IPR laws, ensuring adequate protection for the organization and deal with litigations. Reviewing and fine-tuning legal documents on a regular basis to provide best possible protection for the organization.  - Advising on litigation faced by the company as well as subsidiaries.  - Preparing notes and reviews on new and upcoming laws.  Candidate Profile :   Qualification: Graduation in law with 12-15 years of experience.  Experience: Preferably in manufacturing set-up and having practiced in courts.  - Domain knowledge of corporate/civil/criminal laws and court procedures in India, both for civil and criminal courts at various levels.   - Thorough knowledge of IPR laws and working knowledge of taxation laws.  - Knowledge of M&A laws across the world, as well as the home improvement sector is desirable.
