Chief Manager - IT Operations & Strategy (15-22 yrs)

JOB DUTIES

Job Summary:

- Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future non- ERP IT systems.

- Develop non- ERP Application IT Strategy in alignment with Business Strategy & Plan

- Maintain in- depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies

- Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods and tools.

- Direct development and execution of an enterprise - wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

- Approve, prioritize, and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.

- Ensure improved Customer Satisfaction

- Ensure IT Security, Control & Compliance in our client.

- Responsible for IT internal controls (Including ITGC of IFC Controls)

- Establish and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with vendors and service suppliers

JOB Description:

Key Accountabilities Duty Statements:

Application Strategy & Roadmap:

- Analyse technology trends and develop non- ERP application strategy, enterprise architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness.

- Develop the 3 year rolling IT application strategy and roadmap considering the technology trends and in alignment with business strategy and plan

- Participate in IT strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts. Application Support

- Lead strategic technology initiatives to build and maintain key elements of the non- ERP enterprise application and associated project portfolio, including but not limited to application management and evolution.

- Ensure availability and uptime of applications.

- Enhance service levels to business for non- ERP application by identifying improvement opportunities, improved documentation, process standardization & implementation, training & awareness building exercise

- Define and implement Service Delivery Processes & Policies to improve the quality and efficiency of support services.

- Define SLA and monitor on regular basis to ensure adherence.

- Implement strong ITSM processes, monitor and reporting the process KPIs

- Accountable to deliver agreed services through in- house or outsourced service partner/s

- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application service.

- Documentation - Build and Maintain

- End user training

- Work closely with SI partner to design and implement solution that drive business values

- Ensure IFC Compliance in ITGC

Application Projects:

- Identify Business Projects. Prepare the business cases and get it approved.

- Identifies opportunities to simplify application operations through continuous improvement initiatives.

- Responsible for preparation of Project Charter, Scope, Schedule and ensure Timely delivery of projects with defined quality and as per approved budget.

- Manage Project Scope Creep by managing customer expectation.

- Project Communication & Reporting

- Engage with all Stakeholders for effective control and delivery

- Project Compliance

- Conduct Business Risk Management; develop & implement risk mitigation plan

Risk Management & Compliance

- Responsible for defining Risk- Control Matrix to ensure IT service continuity

- Responsible for defining and monitoring IT service Risk Matrix

- Responsible for ensuring all IT standards like ISO and IFC.ITGC are implemented and monitored

- Security Incident Management

- Risk Reporting

- Responsible for ensuring compliance in all aspects and in all domains

- Support to Audit

- Ensuring License Compliance

Budget and Planning

- Responsible for preparing budget (CAPEX, OPEX) for the function and get it approved from the management

- Responsible for controlling the budget

- Responsible for controlling cost through innovative solution

- Reporting & Communication

Vendor Management

- Manage the overall contracting and vendor relationship with the ITO and AMS partner(s)

- Oversee development and revision of contracts including technical, commercial and legal aspects.

- Ensure performance of vendors and IT services is regularly tracked and reported.

Review performance metrics and share feedback on improvement areas with vendors.

- Establish and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with vendors and service suppliers.

Continuous improvement process (CIP)

- Provide insight to our client for:

- Analyse technology trends and develop application strategy, architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness.

- Opportunities to apply new technologies or other solutions to challenges facing our operations and/or business.

Business Value of IT

- Identify and implement at least one projects and/or initiative which can improve the business values of IT CSAT & Engagement

- Responsible for stakeholder engagement

- Responsible for Relationship management with businesses, peers and all other colleagues

- Responsible for conducting customer satisfaction survey, at least once in a year.

Prepare & Execute the action plan based on the survey outcome.

- Responsible for ensuring CSAT 4 out of 5

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

(Abilities & Expertise in field) Personal Attributes

Knowledge (Technical / Functional):

- Total experience of 15+ years, out of this minimum 10 years- experience extensive experience with J2EE and Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Dotnet framework and architecture, Open Source framework and architecture

- Experience in working in a SOA and ESB/Integration based Systems.

- experience in designing and developing Zero Downtime Deployment (ZDD) systems.

- Experience is working in a Agile and/or scrum based model

- Experience in implementation, rollout and support of JD Edwards projects

- Minimum of 5 years- experience in Implementation and support of non- ERP projects in the capacity of Project Manager / solution architect

- Ensure best in class solutions are delivered with best quality and on time to address Business needs

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, should have interacted with top executives and possess the ability to influence them

- Vendor Management - Work with various vendors to provide IT Solutions

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- BE/B.Tech. in Engineering or equivalent

- ITIL Certified

- TOGAF Certification (Preferable)

- Project Management certification (e.g. PMI)
