Chief Manager/Head - Finance Operations - BPO/Consulting - CA (15-18 yrs)

Senior finance operations role responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient finance transactional processes and controls from a GBS centre as described in the S&N Finance Record to report (R2R), (P2P) and O2C taxonomy and in line with the Group Finance Manual, Minimum Acceptable Practices (MAPs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Delivers the service to meet SLAs and KPIs and to ensure positive Voice of Customer feedback.

- Works with Global Process Owners, Operational Leads from other centres to standardise processes, eliminate unnecessary work, automate tasks, remove exceptions and simplify activities to deliver agreed productivity targets and to improve SLA and KPI performance end to end to upper quartile industry standards

- Ensure the end to end service is delivered to meet SLAs, KPIs and quality standards and compliance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Ensures ledgers are - clean- resolving aged open items, reconciling - differences- and ensuring master data is maintained to high levels of quality and compliance

- Ensure that the Accounts Payable ledgers are accurate, minimising aged open items, unmatched credits, GRIR, blocked items, and that underlying master data is maintained to high levels of quality and compliance with policies

- Make suggestions for the future use of new tools and technology in the OTC domain and where approved, implement into the Service offering

- Identify reasons for service and control deficiencies and shortcomings and propose and implement solutions to resolve underlying issues

- Maintain SOPs to meet S&N standard cycles. Highlight and challenge exceptions from global standards

- Ensure controls are implemented and adhered to in line with Risk and Control Matricies (RACMs) (SOX & MAPs) and wider S&N policies including the Group Finance Manual

- Motivate and develop staff in line with S&N Finance and GBS career models. Manage staff planning and performance management for the RTR teams. Develop capabilities to meet the changing needs of Finance Operations

- Support service transitions into the centre and quickly stabilise

- Support transformation activities to deliver expected return on investment

- Identify reasons for service and control deficiencies and shortcomings and propose and implement solutions to resolve underlying issues

- Engage in regular collaboration and communication with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction

Education :

- Chartered Accountant

- Should have an overall 12 + years of experience

- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS would be an added advantage

- 15+ years of accounting experience in finance operation work with deep expertise in Record to Report, Procure to pay and Order to cash and related finance processes

- Controllership experience preferred

- Minimum of [4] years of previous management / team leading experience

- Experience in performing shared service operations & managing large teams (Minimum of 50-60 people)

- Experience of SAP (ECC6) and MS Axapta

- Experience of RtR Tooling such as Blackline or Trintech would be valuable

- Accounts Payable SME with end to end process knowledge of at least 8 years, high transactional volume.

- Experience of working within a non-Finance role within Order to Cash e.g. Customer Service/Order Management would be advantageous.

- Experience in a captive shared service of Business Process Outsourcing environment

- Working experience around transitions and transformations
