Chief Manager/Assistant Vice President - Equity Dealer

Job Profile: We are seeking a proficient Equity Dealer to manage the execution and optimization of equity trades within the investment portfolio. The role demands advanced expertise in equity markets, algorithmic and manual trade execution understanding, risk analytics, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. The candidate will leverage quantitative tools, trading platforms, and real-time market data to maximize portfolio returns while adhering to stringent risk management protocols

Job Location: BKC, Mumbai

Specific Responsibilities

Trade Execution & Order Management:

- Optimize trade execution algorithms to minimize market impact and transaction costs (e.g., slippage, bid-ask spread)

- Execute high-frequency and block trades across multiple equity exchanges using advanced order management systems (OMS) and execution management systems (EMS)

- Monitor order flow, liquidity, and market microstructure dynamics in real-time

Market Microstructure Analysis & Quantitative Research:

- Utilize quantitative models and statistical techniques to analyze intraday price movements, volume patterns, and volatility metrics. Develop and implement alpha-generating strategies based on technical indicators, momentum, and mean-reversion signals

Portfolio Risk & Compliance Monitoring:

- Ensure trading activities comply with SEBI regulations, IRDAI guidelines, and internal risk policies

- Implement pre-trade and post-trade compliance checks using automated surveillance systems

Trade Lifecycle Management & Settlement:

- Oversee the entire trade lifecycle from order placement, trade confirmation, clearing, and settlement

- Coordinate with custodians, brokers, and clearinghouses to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure timely settlement

- Maintain audit trails and generate detailed transaction reports for internal and regulatory audits

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with quantitative analysts, portfolio managers, compliance officers, and IT teams to enhance trading infrastructure and ensure system integrity

- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing equity trading in India (SEBI, IRDAI, RBI guidelines).

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot trading system anomalies and latency issues.

- Excellent communication skills for technical reporting and cross-departmental coordination.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes trading environment with strict SLAs

Relevant Work-experience

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in equity trading or dealing within financial services, preferably in institutional or insurance asset management
