Chief Learning officer for a VC backed Edtech Startup

The Chief Learning Officer would be responsible for overall development and delivery of the program including defining the learning objectives and measuring the impact of the same. (S)He would have the overall responsibility for creation of course curriculum and content for various extracurricular activities in collaboration with domain experts. (S)He would also be responsible for training teachers to ensure delivery of content in modern pedagogy to ensure high child engagement and fun!

Role & Responsibilities :

- Continuous pedagogy and curriculum framework innovation to deliver on organization vision

- Oversee curriculum design including development of in-house content, Audio- Visuals, and other Teaching Aids for various activities - dance, music, arts, yoga, chess, languages, and dramatics etc

- Work with pedagogy experts to design courses using modern teaching techniques to build engaging and fun classroom experience for children

- Manage the team of curriculum experts, pedagogy experts, teachers

- Create cost effective teacher training modules and supervise training of teachers on our customized curriculum, content, pedagogy & soft skills, and effective usage of our video tech platform

- Determine criteria for tracking / assessing child's progress

- Oversee delivery of counselling program

- Ensure quality in classroom delivery

Qualifications :

- Masters/Ph.D. in Education from a top global institute

- 10+ years experience of building curriculum and content with reputed school or academy or as program head with an EdTech. Experience in extracurricular domain preferred

- People management experience

- Research contributions to child learning pedagogy preferred

Skills and experience required :

- Good understanding of children behavior and using it well to create customized programs for them

- The candidate should be innovative with passion to leverage technology to improve learning outcome for children

- Leadership skills to hire, coach and manage a team in collaborative manner

- Experience in developing teachers- training programs

- Strong problem solving and communication abilities; is organized and efficient

- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment

- Is culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a continuously changing environment and receive feedback for improving the content

- Passion for making learning fun!
