Chief Investment Officer - General Insurance for a B2C unicorn


Our client, a leading B2C tech unicorn in its space, is in the process of establishing a general insurance (GI) arm as a natural extension of its business model, and is looking for a chief investment officer (CIO) for this insurance arm

Key responsibilities:

- Lead the overall investment strategy and execution for the insurance arm.

- Create/review investment reports and reviews, including but not limited to comprehensive portfolio analysis .

- Establish processes to ensure investment policies are followed, and make decisions on asset allocation.

- Remain up-to-date with any important valuation or policy changes.

- Attend annual meetings review quarterly financial statements,participate in investor meetings

- Build the CIO team back to front.

Ideal candidate:

- Prior experience of working in a Start-up, managing funds in Equity, Fixed Income or other Asset classes.

- Strategic thinker, visionary leader and proficient in decision-making.

- Highly motivated and an ability to handle complex projects

- Strong analytical skills and ability to connect the dots with business realities.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and networking abilities

This position will report to the Founders.

Qualification:

Experience as CIO in a general insurance business with deep understanding of all relevant asset classes and investment instruments

CA / MBA - Finance/ relevant qualifications
