Chief Information Security Officer - Detection & Response Team - Internet/Online/IT (15-23 yrs)

Detection and Response Team Head

Is a part of the CISO function and reports to the CISO. Is tasked with developing and testing the organization's ability to detect and respond to breaches and orchestrate the return to BAU.

Primary Responsibilities : 

1. Proactively getting the organization ready for detecting new and current and past breaches and responding to these breaches to minimize the spread and impact.

2. Identifying the occurrence of security incidents

3. Managing and orchestrating the response to a security incident to reduce impact and restore normalcy.

4. Overseeing CSOC operations to make it an effective tool to detect incidents and orchestrate responses.

5. Lead and guide the further SIEM implementation, adoption and value realization therefrom including threat hunting operations

6. Liaise with third parties for forensic analysis

- The ideal candidate would have in depth exposure to the above areas over 15-20 years of progressively increasing responsibilities and meet at least some of the following requirements:

- A strong process and governance focus.

- Strong hacking experience to be able to understand an attacker's mentality to build defenses and detect intrusions and breaches.

- A flair for spotting and grooming team members to help them grow in this field.

- Exposure to adjacent areas within the CISO function such as Threat and Vulnerability management, red teaming, breach and attack simulation, risk management, digital forensics etc would be a significant plus.

- In the current WFH scenario location may not be a concern but Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon and Mumbai may have a slight preference.

- An engineering degree with appropriate certifications will be preferred but would not be a deal breaker in case of otherwise strong credentials.
