Supported by a highly trained and professional nursing staff. There are around 850 number of beds in Mumbai and they have spanned out in other 3 locations in India.
We are looking at hiring a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for the Hospital who can manage an employee strength of 3500 nos. (permanent + contract staff) PAN India.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Act as a culture champion by promoting employee engagement, collaboration and a growth mindset to drive business success.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organization goals and corporate policies.
- Partner with leadership to foster a culture of performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, healthcare regulations, and industry best practices.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and retention strategies to meet staffing needs.
- Ensure seamless onboarding, induction, and talent development programs.
- Work with department heads to identify workforce gaps and implement succession planning.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
- Address grievances, conflicts, and workplace concerns in a fair and effective manner.
- Lead internal communication strategies to promote transparency and collaboration.
Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Manage labor relations, including handling negotiations with unions (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, medical regulations, and accreditation requirements.
- Handle disciplinary actions and legal HR matters in coordination with legal advisors.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and oversee learning and development programs. Foster leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
HR Operations & Performance Management
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HR technology systems.
- Implement and monitor key HR metrics, ensuring process efficiency and compliance.
- Drive performance appraisal processes and career development frameworks.
Qualifications and Key skill-set:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 18+ years of extensive experience in HR management, with a strong track record of success in a healthcare/hospital setting.
- Skills:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees, trustees and management.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and issues.
