Chief Human Resource Officer - Manufacturing

1. JOB PURPOSE :

- To provide leadership and direction to the HR function, thus ensuring that the HR agenda is aligned to the overall business strategy of the plant and the organization is on track in relation to achieving excellence in people processes and overall performance management.

2. MAJOR CHALLENGES :

- Retaining and attracting young talent is a challenge. Additionally, there is a huge pull from overseas markets such as Middle East.

- Managing the growth aspirations of this young workforce is a challenge since systems and processes are still in the process of being set up

- The plant's existing workforce consists of a combination of expats, employees from other group companies, young work force and people from other industries. Therefore, developing a common organizational culture is challenging

- Meeting the aspirations of the local community in relation versus merit based HR philosophy of the organization

3. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

- Graduate with MBA degree in HR from a reputed Indian or overseas business school

- 12 - 16 years of experience in HR management with at least 5 years of experience as a Head HR for a manufacturing set-up

Functional Skills :

- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employee and vendors

- Strong knowledge of labour relations and statutory compliance around the same

- Should have strong experience with setting up large scale training programs for management and blue collar employees
