To learn more about MAD, you can visit their website here - https://makeadiff.in/ Role Overview Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Fundraising Officer (CFRO) is responsible to meet its current annual fundraising goals, while growing and diversifying its funding base. This person will oversee and manage day-to-day fundraising operations while engaging the team and leadership team in expanding revenue streams to support new initiatives. Specific roles and responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor resource mobilization strategy including innovative approaches to raise financial resources. This includes: - Fundraising from existing corporate donors (CSR donors, Foundations, etc.) as well as regular HNIs etc. - Exploring new alternative approaches to funding - Protecting MAD's existing programs from any drop outs in donors or their funding, while at same time looking to increase their funding or share of funding to MAD - Diversify the funding base by adding new donors and reduce dependence on a few donors - Ensure new donors, HNI donors funding is at a targeted share of total resources - Conceptualize and develop funding proposals and presentations for existing and potential new donors for program as well as new investment requirements - Follow up on funding proposals, make presentations and articulate value propositions, coordinate field visits, leverage CEO / leadership team relationships as well as involve them in donor meetings to facilitate closure of funding as required - Ensure accurate, timely and complete donor reporting as well as discussion of the reports periodically with key donors - Accompany donor teams on field visits both pre-funding as well as part of programme review meetings to the extent required; work with programme teams to address any issues identified during the visit - Carry out impact studies of the MAD program through independent third parties, to demonstrate value and to ensure continued funding support - Lead, grow and manage fundraising team - Promote a culture of high performance that values continuous learning and commitment to cause - Mentor and develop team using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis - Establish and monitor team performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals What MAD is looking for in their ideal candidate - 15+ years of work experience, which includes experience as a head of fund-raising for an organisation - Proven track of record of generating high value donations - Expertise across fundraising channels such as CSR, HNIs, crowdfunding - Past experience in successfully building an executing fundraising strategies for organisations
