Chief Financial Officer - Startup (5-20 yrs)
Chief Financial Officer(CFO) - Large Well Funded Singapore Based Startup
- A leading, well funded Singapore based startup is looking for a CFO to lead the company's finance and fundraising functions. The company is over a decade old and is a market leader in its space. It is headquartered in Singapore and has a global presence.
- The successful candidate will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, startup experience, a good understanding of finance and the ability to manage investors.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Formulating financial strategy
- Playing a leadership role for fundraising
- Preparing financial models, plans, forecasts, budgets, etc
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements to management, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Managing corporate taxes.
- Financial risk management
- Ensuring that all relevant fiduciary and regulatory obligations are being complied with.
- Managing the financial health of the company - ensuring that various critical financial metrics are being accurately calculated and suitably reported.
- Working closely with businesses to ensure alignment between groups
- As a member of the company's leadership team playing an active role in strategic decision making
- Managing the Finance department
- Reporting to CEO
Attributes/Skills :
- Anything upwards of 5 years of relevant experience could fit, depending on the skills, attributes and potential of the candidate.
- At least 2 years of start-up experience, with accounting/financial control experience and/or fundraising experience.
- Experience in managing teams would help.
- Ability to understand business drivers is critical
- Must be ambitious, a self-starter and have the general ability to get along with people
