Chief Financial Officer - Retail

Job Profile:

- This role will form an integral part of the core management team responsible to drive the organization's growth plans over the next 5 years

- Strong execution requirement; ability to build a robust finance organization with strong systems, processes, checks and partner strongly with the long-term expansion plan of the organization

- Strong commercial acumen along with business partnering ability. Working closely with business and costing, procurement strategies and help in devising /evaluating franchise effective franchise model for expansion

- Financial accounting, audit, and statutory compliances - preparation of multi-geography and consolidated financial statements and statutory audit. Exposure to INDAS will be helpful

- Budget & Forecasting - coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget with various departments, financial forecasts, and report variances. To develop the MIS structure (dashboards) as may be required by the management

- Cash flow efficiency - driving initiatives for efficient operating cash-flow management and streamline payables and receivables cycles. To ensure controls are built in for timely collection and reconciliation of cash as well deposit of same in the bank. To build credit checks and ensure tight debtor management. Effective working capital management strategies across multiple stores

- Risk management - ensure coverage against financial as well as operating risks by streamlining of business processes and policies

- Compliance for direct and indirect tax requirements, secretarial, legal, and other statutory compliance

- Strengthening the Internal Audit department and getting the internal audit completed as per the management expectation

- Manage the expectations of the stakeholders through providing them monthly MIS, accounts, cash flows statements and legal compliance reports

- Should be Tech-savvy and must have the ability to understand and look at enhancing current systems. Ability to leverage IT for improving system and compliance

- Exposure of IPO, investor relations and roadshows would be preferred

Candidate Profile:

- A Chartered accountant with 15+ years of experience is a must for this role

- MBA /ICWA equivalent qualification along with a CA degree would be an added advantage.

- Strong business orientation; experience of managing P&L and building scale in a distributed set-up (Retail industry or a similar decentralized model)

- Strong leadership ability to build, manage and motivate teams
