Chief Financial Officer - Retail (12-15 yrs)

- Result oriented professional with the experience of nearly 12-15 years in:

- Financial Planning & Analysis -Strategic Planning ; Merchant FinanceOperations Finance - Budgetary & Cost Control 

- Fund Management -Variance Analysis -Internal Control Review / Audit -Liaison / Coordination -

- Proficient in conceptualizing and implementing financial procedures, including working capital management, Margin analysis, Vendor discussion, Store profitability and cost controls.

- Demonstrated excellence in providing strategic direction through analysis and financial modelling and directly impacts bottom line performance by planning process and trend analysis of operating expenses and key metrics for designated corporate areas 

- Experience in analysing the prevalent financial & economic environment; identifying business risks & implementing effective mechanisms to mitigate the same; liaising with company management on various issues on finance and audit 

- Team-based management style coupled with the zeal to drive visions into reality

- Supporting long term strategy formulation including store roll-outs and topline & bottom-line target setting

- Formulating Annual Operating Plan for Sales, Margin, SG&A, Profit and Inventory basis the overall business objectives and trends 

- Analyzing The each P&L component performance of business at Store / Category Level against their AOP and Forecast 

- Identifying gaps in category performance across stores and market with respect to sales & margin and driving improvement in coordination with merchants

- Driving business case preparation and Performa review of new investment project and provided insights through return on investments payback calculations, IRR and NPV  

- Keeping control on  freshness of inventory by facilitating timely exit to achieve minimum write-offs 

Driving appropriate inventory level and  days-cover to avoid under/over-stocking

- Assessing capex proposals in line with the capex budget & part of the approval authority matrix also preparing the opportunity cost analysis -

- Designing reporting templates, structure and adherence according to Wal-mart head office requirements -

- Introducing various new reports, improving the scalability of reports considering the long term requirements of the business to improve the processes and systems 

- Formulating strategies with Senior Management to ensure achievement of targets 

- Preparing monthly business reviews presentations for the Regional management team comprising of financials as well as functional business updates for the month & outlook for the coming periods 

- Reviewing balance sheet, monthly business review, P&L statements, inventory/store roll out and BOD presentations 

- Monitoring of price gap vs competition, in stock levels, attrition rates, future stores pipeline status, private brand penetration, savings achieved through specific projects and reporting the same to regional office
