Company: Company is one of India's most reputed, research-based, techno-savvy pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing company in India.

Its specialised in Contract Manufacturing of Pharmaceutical formulations, Ayurvedic / Herbal preparations, Hormones, Nutraceuticals and more and has acquired a strong position in especially the Contract Manufacturing business in India.

Role: CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Report to: Managing Director

Location: Mumbai

Purpose of the role:

- The position will be responsible for directing the finance function for the company, in accordance with accepted accounting principles and keeping in line with the goals and objectives of the organization

- This is positioned as a key strategy and cross functional impacting resource for the organization

- Provide strategic leadership to the overall finance function at the company ensuring that the function is properly organized, teamed, developed, motivated, and compensated.

Experience :

17-25 years in Export Oriented Organization / like Pharmaceuticals / FMCG / Petrochemicals / Engineering Industry with at least 10 years as Head or Equivalent Level with the team of 10 to 20 personnel.

Qualifications :

- Master's degree in accounting / CA / ICWA or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 15+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation

- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Cost Accountant/Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary would be an added advantage

Age: Not more than 50 years

Deliverables Chief Financial Officer:

- Oversee the issuance of financial information

- Report financial results to the board of directors

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

- Construct and monitor reliable control systems

- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

- Report risk issues to the audit committee of the board of directors

- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

Relations:

Internal:

- Marketing, Finance, Purchase, R&D, Medical, QA, Technical team, formulation Plants.

External:

- Regulatory bodies / Consultants

- Participate in conference calls with the investment community

- Maintain banking relationships

- Represent the company with investment bankers and investors

World Class Finance Practices:

- Identifies opportunities and issues with process and add value to the area of FINANCE through a total cost of ownership orientation.

- Manage relationships and ways of working with key Internal & External stake holder in order to align understanding & commitment with Organizational Goals and Visions.

People:

- Ensures that communication to the internal & external customer is proper. Seamless & timely flow of information creates an environment of transparency and access to information.

Systems & Processes:

- Identifies implements & continuously improves systems & processes in order to deliver greater effectiveness of service for the company.

- Demonstrates & performs in accordance with sound business ethics, HRM standards, policies & procedures to give company's the highest possible perceived integrity in all stakeholder relationships.

- Robust Knowledge of Finance

- Working knowledge of legal and secretarial issues, particularly contract structuring and compliance issues would be added advantage.

- Ability to constantly upgrade the quality of the company's accounting manual

- Supporting the culture of profit focus.

Key Accountabilities:

Position Summary -Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership to the overall finance function at the company ( Various Location in India ) ensuring that the function is properly organized, teamed, developed, motivated, and compensated

- Develop and manage all financial and accounting processes, in line with the business strategy, plans and processes, while ensuring adequate financial controls, discipline, and statutory compliance

- Will overlook all aspects of finance including accounting, taxation, operational management, MIS, financial reporting and analysis.

Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.

- Comply with all reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by the regulatory bodies

- Transform the organization to make it a robust & professional company with a competitive edge having very well defined norms of corporate governance

- Identify areas of improvements in all operations of the company and Set systems and processes to control and manage the commercial operations through appropriate financial management and reporting systems, controls, procedures and processes

- Ensure development of effective taxation strategies and plans, implement and monitor their effectiveness to minimize the tax burden

- Develop Corporate Performance Management - Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, ensuring compliance with budgets & cash flow targets.

Other skills required:
