Finance Controller
Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: CEO / Managing Director
Job Summary:
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead the financial strategy and operations of the manufacturing business. Responsible for financial planning, risk management, budgeting, cost control, and ensuring the company's financial health.
- The CFO will work closely with the executive team to support operational efficiency, growth initiatives, and long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
- Partner with the CEO and board to drive business growth and profitability.
- Provide insights and recommendations for long-term financial planning.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Lead the financial modeling of new business initiatives or capital expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, especially in production and supply chain.
Accounting & Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Treasury & Risk Management:
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment portfolios.
- Monitor working capital and oversee funding requirements.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Operations & Cost Management:
- Collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing costs.
- Monitor and improve cost accounting systems and product costing accuracy.
- Analyze production KPIs and identify inefficiencies or waste.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Key Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, or MBA (Finance).
- 15+ years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role in the manufacturing industry.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing finance, including inventory management, cost accounting, and capital budgeting.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools is a plus.
