Chief Financial Officer - Infrastructure (18-25 yrs)
POSITION : Chief Financial Officer
REPORTING TO : Managing Director
KRAs / Key Responsibilities :
Overview :
- Manage all aspects of In-house investment portfolios.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions.
- Strategic planning, business support, due diligence, project and investment analysis.
- Stakeholder management
Fund Management :
- Manage long-term and short-term investment strategies
- Direct, monitor and trade investment portfolios including Working capital, High-Yield and other portfolios.
- Financial engineering (including movement, transfer, inflow/outflow of capital) amongst the many entities of the conglomerate
- Determine the Company's goals and risk tolerance.
- Determine the Company's tax position and the applicability of taxable/non-taxable instruments.
- Assess risk/return trade-offs in guidelines.
- Rationalise financial management structures within the entire group
- Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions
- Develop financial model, tax structures through detailed analysis of financial markets applicable regulations, changing government reforms etc.
- Resource mobilization for financing capital projects, acquisitions and working capital requirements.
Planning and Strategy :
- Engage with the board of directors and corporate leadership in strategy planning, operations and risk management & compliances
- Guide the management in presentations to analysts and investors
- Contribute towards the development of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs and systems as part of the top management team.
- Introduce and maintain - Best Practice- accounting systems, methods, business processes, procedures and controls during the course of year and finalization of accounts.
- Implement sustainable financial policies, processes, procedures, controls and MIS to facilitate financial control and management decision making
- Annual, quarterly & monthly operating plans and budgetary control, forecasting, internal controls and review processes, internal and statutory audits.
Finance Operations :
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational budget and contract/grant budgets.
- Maintain contact with bankers, auditors, legal advisors, insurance brokers and other agencies.
- Ensure credibility of finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
- Driving financial and non-financial KPIs in conjunction with business leadership.
- Adherence to company policies, management guidelines, statutory, taxation and legal compliances.
- Direct, coordinate and control various aspects of financial accounting, FP&A, funds management, taxation, revenue, Order to Cash and Procure to Payment processes.
- Facilitate and review statutory and internal Audit findings and ensure related closures / escalations guide and monitor tax planning initiatives of direct and indirect taxation in commercial decisions.
Core Competencies :
- Seasoned Finance professional having diverse experience across the entire gamut of Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Taxation, Audit and Compliance functions.
- Must be adept at Stakeholder management, treasury and fund management with relevant legal provisions, dealing with various tax authorities and Banks independently.
- Knowledge and expertise in of Corporate Finance and financial re-engineering
- Knowledge of Company Secretarial practices will be an added advantage.
- Strong business focus, leadership and excellent communications skills.
- Incumbent should be a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
- He must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and hands on approach.
