Job Description

- Handling a team of 7-8 accountants and ensuring updation of all daily work like books of account and bank entries.

- Ensuring that all statutory compliances like Excise Duty, Service Tax, VAT, TCS, TDS etc. are deposited and returns filed in a timely manner

- Ensuring all books of accounts for the various companies are completed on time for filing of necessary returns

- Acting as the office manager and administrator for the day to day office matters

- Ensuring correct billing/invoicing to all customers and companies is done in a timely manner

- Follow up with companies to get the outstanding payments released in a timely manner

- Follow up with customers for outstanding payments and providing executive summary/MIS to top management of outstanding dues along with ageing etc.

- Monitor cash balances for the group

- Do ABC Costing for different groups of the company

- Participate in key decision of the executive management team

- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

- Implement operational best practices, locate and plug loopholes in the financial system of the company

- Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package

- Financial Information:

- Oversee the issuance of financial information

- Personally review and approve all compliance filings

- Report financial results to the board of directors

- Risk Management:

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry

- Construct and monitor reliable control systems

- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies

- Report risk issues to of the board of directors

- Maintain relations with external auditors

Profile Description

- CA with 10+ years of experience in independently handling accounts of large companies with a turnover of over Rs. 100 crores.

- Thorough working knowledge of computerized accounting like Tally 9 and excel etc.

- Responsibility, Integrity, Loyalty to the group and pro-active thinking for the group is central to the job, as it is a key position in the group

- Experience of Liquor/ Spirits business is preferable
