Chief Financial Officer - Finance and Accounts

Job Purpose:

The CFO (F&A) is responsible for planning and directing the Financing & Accounting activities of the company & it's subsidiaries by supervising, tracking, and evaluating all the activities. Having strong exposure in international banking & also include informing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying, and reporting information with all stakeholders including CEO/ MD.

Major Responsibilities and Deliverables:

a. Financial Reporting, audit compliance.

b. Management of cash flow; capital and revenue

c. Collections and ensuring accounts receivables in control.

d. All payments including vendors, payroll etc.

e. To ensure compliances including direct and indirect taxation and other law compliance,

f. Budget preparation and monitoring the expenditure

g. Preparing and Monitoring of MIS

h. Ensuring adequate and competent sales staff taking help of HR

Tasks and Activities:

A. Financial Reporting, audit compliance:

- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports like Balance Sheet, P&L statements etc. Ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.

- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Liaison with auditors, internal and external, and ensuring compliance.

- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.

B. Management of cash flow; capital and revenue:

- Provides documentation and other support to seek funding from lender .

- Monitors and ensures positive cash flow for all capital and revenue expenses

- Manages accounts payable and receivables effectively

C. Collections and ensuring accounts receivables in control:

- Ensures timely payments are received from the clients and manages outstanding receivables with proper systems

- Ensures all the refunds due from various agencies

D. All payments including vendors:

- Ensures all vendor payments as per agreed terms and conditions keeping cash flow of the company in mind.

- Ensures timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages (payroll management)

E. To ensure compliances including direct and indirect taxation and other law compliance:

- Supervises all GST matters being handled by GST in-charge

- Ensure timely deduction and submission of all TDS payments to government authority

- Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.

F. Budget preparation and monitoring the expenditure:

- Oversees preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and business activity reports.

- Monitors department wise expense variances with respect to budget and informs all.

G.CONSOLIDATION OF BALANCE SHEET:

- Must have knowledge of consolidation of subsidiary balance sheet, IND AS accounting .

H. MIS and General:

- Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

- Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

I. Ensuring adequate and competent staff in Finance & accounts taking help of HR:

- Actively participating in shortlisting and interviewing process of candidates

- Ensuring their competencies are updated regularly by training and guidance

4. Measurement Metrics

- Healthy financial ratios - Current Ratio, Debt/ Equity Ratio, EBITDA, Inventory Turnover Ratio, PAT, ROI, Trade receivable ratio, DSER

- Accuracy of data

- Creditors and Debtors management for ensuring healthy cash flow

- Timeliness of reporting and compliance

- Timely Funds availability

5. Reports to: MD as well as the Board of Directors

6. Skills & Qualification required:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant, having proven experience as CFO, Finance Head or equivalent role

- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP, ERP, TALLY,) - Ability to strategize and solve problems

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and people skills

- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers

- Knowledge in international banking

7. Experience:

- Min 10 years of total experience, with min 5 years at senior level and must have experience in SAP.

- Candidates who have experience in listed entries will be preferred.
