Chief Financial Officer - Edtech (15-20 yrs)
A leading, well funded edtech is looking for a CFO to lead the company's finance functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and direct the financial management of the Company and activities of the finance department in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
- Formulating financial strategy, preparing financial models, plans, forecasts, budgets, etc
- Playing a leadership role for fundraising as required
- Overseeing the preparing of financial statements to management, investors and other stakeholders.
- Managing corporate taxes.
- Managing the financial health of the company ensuring that various critical financial metrics are being accurately calculated and suitably reported.
- Supervise the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements, including revenue projections
- Lead a team of qualified professionals to manage different functions in finance and accounting
- Working closely with businesses to ensure alignment between groups
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Attributes/Skills
- 15+ years of experience with exposure at a Big 4/large MNC (FMCG/ITES) with at least 5-6 years in a leadership role at a large consumer/B2B tech start up
- Experience in managing scale and large teams
- Ability to understand business drivers is critical
- Must be ambitious, a self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
