We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer for our very dear client in Mumbai who is one of the oldest and respected Indian Conglomerates and a listed company. The position will directly report to the CEO and the Board. This is a 70% strategic and 30% number crunching role.
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant
Experience: Experience of working with Group Holding Companies in listed concerns only. Top management / Board / Audit Committee a must exposure. Experience in Investment Banking, especially in deal making, will be an added advantage - Preferably from FMCG, Consumer Durable or Manufacturing Industry.
Location: Mumbai (candidate should be preferably from Mumbai)
Job Summary:
As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO will be an advisor to the Top management & divisional heads for evaluating and assisting them with the road map of growth and direction for all the businesses. He / She shall also be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the board of directors and the finance and audit committees of the board.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
2. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
3. Develop financial and tax strategies for Indian and International entities
4. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
5. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
6. Partnering with the Top Management to drive the operations of the Company, all divisions, and levels
7. Lead the process of finding growth opportunities within existing divisions and in new business through organic and inorganic growth.
8. Has exposure to M&As and also of hives offs of businesses.
9. Key understanding of the usage of capital allocation and risk management in a conglomerate
10. Manage the treasury and banking function
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts. Roll over CP and NCD on maturity
- Arrange for debt and equity financing
- Represent the company with investment bankers and investors
- Strong investment fundamentals
- Managing promoter equity investment in various business verticals
- Maximize business return on investment
11. Coordinate and lead the annual statutory audit process, liaise with external auditors (Big four) and present to the audit committee. Overall oversight of the Consolidation process of standalone accounts with that of its subsidiaries and Associates
12. Drive the implementation of ERP across the group with SOPs across the organization.
13. Knowledge of Company Secretarial matters an added advantage.
14. Build & develop a team. Should have the expertise of managing multi-locational teams.
15. Must have been involved in multi-sectoral business preferably FMCG across 25 years
16. Must have held a finance leadership position
