Chief Financial Officer - CA (15-20 yrs)
Job Title: CFO HAIL
Responsibilities -
Business partnering:
- Financial Leadership for Planning and Forecasting Annual Operating Plan (AOP), periodic forecasts, financial pulse, Strategic Plan (STRAP).
- Support/ HAIL India strategy
- Deliver P&L Results
- Planning & Forecasting
- Investment Decisions
- Cost Management
- Provide financial guidance for strategic / growth actions
- Lead financial tasks associated with M&A/Joint Ventures
- Provide leadership and take appropriate actions to achieve AOP
- Driving Monthly MFR and Quarterly QBR process with all SBU's
Corporate Governance & Board matters for HAIL :
- Be the point of contact for external investor community, shareholders
- Ensure compliance to Listing agreement, Clause 49
- Ensuring Audit Committee progress is monitored and maintained
- Preparing all Board quarterly presentation, AOP etc.
- Keeping Constant contact with Board members on various issues of business and Financial reporting as well as material Disclosure requirements.
Commercial:
- Working Capital Focus, driving External Collection performance and doing customer escalations
- Tax strategies for various indirect taxes applicable across States / Jurisdiction - Ensuring end to end application of tax exemptions to various supply chain business opportunities having direct impact on pricing or optimal Cost to serve
- Driving Commercial excellence on various operational metric
- Pre bid support for large bids for indirect tax planning
- Ensure that right processes are deployed to capture all available incentives, refunds under various indirect tax statues.
Indirect Taxes:
- Service tax compliance and strategies (for multiple tax units)
- Various GST / VAT legacy compliance at all states across countries
- Managing ever increasing Litigation on VAT / Interstate tax compliance issues
Keeping updated with key developments which will affect HBT/HAIL in GST
As a Matrix manager or Peer work closely and provide oversight to Accounting COE, Direct Taxes, Treasury and Real estate team
COTA/COE Shared services:
- Oversee Pune Shared services center to support all of HBT BUs in India
- Drive deployment of efficiency tools through various bolt-on modules on SAP, Manage
SAP deployment across Business and drive improvement processes
- Ensure Payable Centre Of Excellence works on global Metric
- Automation review of all process to increase productivity and put in place India level Centre Of Excellence
- Driving industry best practices on Automation and embedded controls in auto environment
Treasury:
- Ensuring visibility of Cash Movement and Investment in the country across HBT/HAIL - Working with Customers and business to ensure we leverage bank based collaterals to accelerate cash
Manage and ensure supervision on Bank Guarantee issue process and risk profile
Direct Taxes:
- Closely work with Corporate tax team to drive tax litigation strategy for HBT / HAIL
- Optimize tax planning for various revenue streams for exports (working ETR down)
- Tax compliance effort of managing various Tax P&L (strategizing)
- Supporting Tax litigation on Transfer Pricing Challenges
Global Real Estate, Facility:
- Strategic support to GRE as business owner for all HBT / HAIL capacity for Office and Factories
- Planning capacity utilisation around entitlement
- Work with State Government on Various exemptions available from RE perspective
- Supervise the team to provide Facility and Administrative support to all sites
India Finance Council Responsibility:
- Overall Talent Management, and Talent Manager for HBT / HAIL
- Ensuring Connect and teaming of larger Finance team
Skill enhancement, Training and conducting courses of Finance Academy
Other Projects - One Initiatives:
- Lead and support special Projects to be driven across HBT / HAIL India
- Ensuring customer contacts are established leveraging relationship across SBUs
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements
- Role will generally require coordination across multiple geographies, possibly time zones, travel is required and will vary (10 - 20%)

Experience / Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant with an excellent academic record with a minimum of 15 years post qualification experience. A broad mix of experience across business finance, controllership and shared services desirable. Experience in a Multi-product MNC environment and also Listed company exposure are key requirements for the job.
