We are looking to add head of finance to a rural e-commerce company backed by marquee investors like 3one4 Capital and Fireside venture .

Responsibilities :

- Lead the finance function in a hands-on manner and partner with the business leaders in building and implementing a strategic growth vision for the company. In addition, the role requires to streamline the existing financial systems and processes in line with the growth agenda.

- You will be a key partner to the founders / the management team and will be instrumental in managing investors, advising the business on diligence, planning for further business expansion and growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the founder

- Lead all aspects of the day-to-day finance operations of the company including statutory compliance, risk and governance functions. You will be the main convener of the Audit and Statutory Committee of the Board.

- Help shape the strategy, finance, and operational excellence agenda and drive execution of these plans through the team and in collaboration with the founders & the business leaders.

- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.

- Manage profitability of the business through cost controllership.

- Ensure effective working capital management and optimal utilization of available funds

- Streamline financial systems and processes from a people and process standpoint.

- Build a high quality and motivated finance team

- The entire treasury, accounting, and day-to-day cash management will be under your leadership

Responsibilities:

Treasury Management:

- Supporting the fundraising efforts of the founders, where needed, by developing deep relationships with Banks/NBFCs etc. Being the main SPOC for financial and other Due Diligence as required by the investors.

- Leading the fundraising initiative of the Company to ensure clear visibility of funds/credit limit for ensuring the AUM growth and Cash Flows.

- Representing the company in front of Institutional Investors, PE firms, Mutual Funds, Banks, FI, FIIs, Rating Agencies, Debenture Trustees, Registrars, and Brokers/intermediaries to ensure that adequate credit limits are available

- Supporting the development of executive-level analysis, briefings, & reports for and to senior leadership

Strategy:

- Assessing organizational performance against both annual budgets and business strategy.

- Developing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to make actionable recommendations on both strategy and execution plans.

- Strategic planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure the financial viability of business transactions, and robust management information systems are in place.

- Engaging the audit, and investment committees around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model(s) and operational delivery.

Financial Management and Control:

- Managing all finance and accounting operations

- Directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements

- Ensuring compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Developing and documenting business processes, and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Role Requirements:

- CA / MBA (Finance) from premiere institutes preferred with 14-15 years of related experience

- Open to travel frequently for Fundraising and other financial business strategy initiatives.

- Demonstrated ability or track record of managing relationships with banks and resource mobilization.

- The CFO must be an effective leader and manager, with the ability to build and lead a high-performing finance team.

- You should be able to provide guidance and mentorship to the finance team and communicate effectively with other departments

Communication Skills:

- The role must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information and insights to a variety of stakeholders, including the CEO, board of directors, investors, and internal stakeholders.

- You should also be able to communicate financial information in a way that is easily understandable to non-financial stakeholders.

Risk Management:

- The role must be skilled in risk management, including identifying potential financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.

- You should be able to develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and minimize financial risk.

Adaptability:

- The CFO must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

- You should be able to quickly adjust your financial strategy in response to changes in the market or the company's goals.
