Chief Financial Officer - BFS

Key Responsibilities :

- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team

- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team

- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting

- Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the group

- Continually reviews work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency; and potential issues in accounts, financial processes and controls and proactively raise management attention to act and resolve

- Advising on long-term business and financial planning

- Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets

- Establishing and developing relations with senior management, external partners and stakeholders

- Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures

Key Skills:

- University degree in accounting (B.Com) or with ACCA/CA/CA Inter

- At least 5+ years of financial/project management/accounting experience within an international organization, multinational company, university or charity with complex donor requirements

Required Skills and Competencies :

- Developed financial management/accounting skills are essential

- Strong analytical skills with an ability to set priorities

- Good knowledge of GAPP, IAS, SAS and IFRS

- Self-starter with strong organizational skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

- Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organization and exercise sound judgement

Working Relationships :

- Internal - Works closely with the CEO, Leadership team and the Finance & Administration team of the organization. Interaction with the the organization's Board of Directors and the trustee members
