Chief Finance Officer - Housing Finance - CA (12-20 yrs)

Our client is a Housing Finance Company with Head office in one of the top metro city locations. We have been mandated to hire a CFO with the following profile

Job Profile:

Finance, Taxation and Reporting:

- Management of the financial infrastructure and processes for the organization, including setting up systems, management reporting including the publishing of both full and half-year results

- Management of the organization's financing requirements, including developing and maintaining relationships with the international banking syndicate, bond investors, agency/trustee functions, and credit ratings agencies

- Fund Raising: Co-leading fund raising, including establishing domestic as well as offshore fund structures / entities, authoring and review of documentation, engaging with the potential investors

- Interface with investment teams to ensure timely and accurate funding and reporting of investments

- Treasury Management

- Interface with bankers and management of banking transactions / relationships

- Interface with statutory and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audits

- Ensure compliance with local statutes (including Income Tax Act, Companies Act, Service Tax Act, etc.)

- Manage the expectations of the stakeholders through providing them monthly MIS, Accounts, cash flows statements, and legal compliance reports

- Management of all aspects of the organization's treasury activities, including all corporate finance matters, cash management including cash (dividend) extraction, interest rate and foreign exchange rate management, covenant compliance

- Acting as advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on the financial implications and risks related to key business issues

- Working closely with the CEO regarding the ongoing financial condition of the organization and the co-ordination of financial objectives with key strategic goals

- Identifying emerging threats and opportunities, and initiating actions to ensure that the Organisations financial condition underpins its ability to achieve its strategic objectives

- Participating in the strategic planning for the future of the company with other members of the executive team

- Closely work with all department heads to ensure expenditures, adhere to legal and internal budgetary requirements

- An integral part of the role will be to set up systems and establish robust and scalable processes with the appropriate risk mitigates in place

- Holding Investment Committee Meeting & Advisory Board Meeting

- Demonstrate a strong Track record of continuous improvement, cost management and operational performance improvement and effectiveness

- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the key operating performance information required to both drive performance and meet regulatory reporting requirements helping to drive a commercial and cost effective culture within the organisation

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant with 12+ years of experience in Banking and financial services with sound knowledge of the overall financial services environment and applicable regulations with exposure to all streams of finance (statutory / MIS / budgetary / regulatory reporting / business finance)

- CFO role in a listed Housing Finance Company or NBFC will be a definite advantage

- Ideal age between 35 to 45 years and not exceeding 45 years

- Conversant with the various accounting norms

- High on Integrity & energy

- A self-starter who needs minimal supervisory control, Entrepreneurial mind-set with a high degree of passion and drive

- Strong with People Management. Ability to build, motivate and manage a team effectively

- Must possess an eye for detail & strong on numerical ability

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and high degree of multi-tasking

- Collaboratively working with the Business Heads
