A leading packaged Foods FMCG in East Africa The position is immediate, and interviews will be held in Mumbai in the last week of March JOB ROLE To oversee and effectively manage the finances of the Company group and ensure both profit and long term sustainability of results while acting as a custodian of all the company assets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Participate in the development of the organization's strategic vision and objectives and oversees the implementation of these in the relevant areas. 2. Provide leadership in the design, development and management of the processes which support the finance function. 3. Manage the financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes. 4. Provide management with in-depth analysis of all expenses, income and trends leading to identification of opportunities and threats and recommend appropriate action. 5. Develop effective internal controls and review processes and promote a culture of continual improvement 6. Ensure sound organisational financial practices and regulatory 7. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and related analysis and reporting, both internal and external, in line with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements. 8. Oversee the development and implementation of effective tax management strategies, designed to optimise tax payments and reporting obligations. 9. Partner with CEO and Management team to drive a growth of business and ensure profitability of the organization is retained or growing. 10. Assisting CEO to drive growth of the business and ensure profitability targets are met. 11. Manage Board affairs and guiding the board on legal matters . 12. Negotiate and draw contracts to be executed between the company and third parties, 13. Be responsible for all legal and insurance matters as the legal counsel for the organisation 14. Manage the Management Committee meetings take place once a month Qualification CA / MBA Finance - Strong Experiences in a Foods / FMCG company with at least 5 years in a top management role - Some East Africa experience is preferable though not a necessity.
