Overview of China India Foundation:

Founded in 2018, the China India Foundation (CIF) is a new non-profit organization. Our mission is to increase mutual understanding between the people of India and China by creating avenues for collaboration, building people-to-people exchange, and strengthening the capacity for cross-cultural engagement. We focus on achieving this mission through programs in education, media, public policy, and business.

Given that CIF is the first organization of its kind in India with a difficult yet ambitious goal - our culture is focused on being entrepreneurial and agile. We're working on potentially sensitive geopolitical topics and need to be thoughtful, adaptable, and resilient in our approach to generating impact. We will take an iterative approach to building programs - testing and adapting programs frequently to understand what works best.

CIF is a neutral, non-partisan organization. We aim to remain objective and do not take a position on the broader China-India relationship. We believe that regardless of geopolitics, both countries need to understand each other and we aim to build the infrastructure to help them do so.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for achieving CIF's mission.

- Develop CIF's programming, operations, finance, marketing, human resources, and technology capabilities.

- Work with the Founder to build out CIF's Board.

- Collaborate with the Founder to refine and implement the strategic plan.

- Instill an entrepreneurial culture and mindset for the organization and take an iterative approach to programs to figure out what works best.

- Build and lead the executive team.

- Allocate capital to the organization's priorities.

- Identify and partner with high-level leaders in government, media, corporations, and nonprofits in both India and China to achieve strategic priorities.

- Represent the organization as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events, and public meetings.

- Adhere to a set of principles and code of conduct to ensure that the organization remains objective, neutral, and non-partisan.

- Establish effective decision-making processes that will enable CIF to achieve its long and short-term goals and objectives.
