CEO / CFO for a large steel manufacturing organisation near Mumbai

Company Profile: Our client is a large Indian Steel Manufacturing organisation - Leaders in their field. Their products have a variety of end users in India and abroad. Our clients performance has been negatively affected in the last few years due to market conditions and they have incurred losses. They are seeking to revive the organisation and also seeking FDI to expand operations. They are seeking to engage a Turnaround Expert as CEO / CFO to strategise and implement apt strategies for turnaround and growth. The manufacturing plant has a total headcount exceeding 1000# and is ISO certified. Terms will be as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

The job is located in a major metro near Mumbai

The position is expected to be closed by end-November

We have the following vacancy:

CEO / Turnaround Expert: Will be part of the Organisation's Leadership Team. Will have a free hand to lead and direct the entire organisation. Will work closely with and report to promoter.

Primary responsibility would be:

a) Financial restructuring

b) Re-negotiation with the Financial Institutions for restructuring the loans outstandings and also enhancing working capital funds to meet the organisation's needs

c) Rationalising the commercial function & procurement functions to achieve cost efficiencies

d) Identify cost reduction avenues to trim expenses

e) Improve on yields in terms of price realisations for finished products

f) Improve on receivables and payable to streamline working capital needs

Candidate Profile: CA with relevant 15-25 years of experience in large manufacturing organisations (preferably Steel / Iron) and having at least one excellent stint of working in a large organisation (turnover above Rs.500 crores) having stressed finances where the incumbent was at the helm of affairs of the organisation and achieved immense success in turning around the fortunes of the organisation.
